Week 1 on the Candida Diet!

Hello and welcome to week one of the Candida cleanse. This is what I eat now. Actually, no, ’cause I don’t even eat this. I can’t eat this. Er, I eat the water…the broth. I’ll show you. This is–this is all I can eat, the only thing. Broth. And water. Obviously. So obviously this Candida cleanse
is a good thing for me. Because, as I said in my previous video,
it’s going to get rid of the Candida, then maybe in the future I can just eat… normally, like everyone else does. This is good. Yes, this is what we want in life. The only thing I can eat is the broth and some water and here’s my excellent recipe for broth! ♪ Lively music ♪ It tastes– it-it tastes OK. If you like vegetables. Now, obviously I have, for the past however many years, been eating mainly fish and vegetables; I’m OK with that – it’s good. If you are the type of person who eats
mainly hamburgers, it’s probably going to be…quite hard for you. Symptoms so far… well, yesterday Claudia came home
and just found me crying. I don’t know why! But that is what I do now, I cry. I just get sad. [Mock tearfully] About, like, everything! Also, I am *so* hungry. I am actually–I actually feel like I’m starving,
I’m so hungry. It’s been two days. It is Day 3 of the Candida Cleanse and I’m getting a spot. Other symptoms that show that it’s actually working: impaired brain function, headaches, fatigue, dizziness, Intestinal distress, Hm, nice. Sweating and fever. Sinus infection and flu-like symptoms. But, maybe weirdly, I’m actually feeling quite, like, awake and…energetic, and maybe more so than I do normally. Normally I feel quite tired. But I haven’t eaten anything except broth
for like the last… three days. Maybe I’m just going stir-crazy, ’cause I only have a dog to keep me company. [Laughs] [Frustrated] Mmmmmm. Nope… the energy crash happened. [Mumbles grumpily] I’m hungry, and sad. [Cabbage crunches] [Cabbage crunches again] Day 4! It’s going well! I’m out of my bed. Excellent! Put on clothes. Excellent! I think, maybe, no food is giving me, like,
weird amounts of energy I don’t know. I feel good. You can’t see, because I am wearing make-up, obviously, but my face is so shiny. It’s like everything bad in my body is just leaving. But, yeah, energy! Weirdly! I was wrong, and my head hurts. My eye hurts, my face! I’m really hungry. [Vegetables clink into bowl] [Dramatic newsreader tone] Day 5. Coming to you from the sofa, because this is where I live now. [Normally] So, yesterday, I was meant to start the steamed veg, um, but… but Claudia came home from work and was like,
“Pfft, no.” “No.” “You need to eat some more.” Erm… Um, so Claudia… uh, made me– made me eat an egg. [Laughs] Actually, three eggs. I had some scrambled eggs, which was probably like, a very good idea, really, because I know that it’s not… like, the proper– the proper way of-of doing it, and the whole cleanse idea is to cleanse and clear your body but my body isn’t, like, the strongest, so… probably better. [Yawns] Rather than just lying everywhere. Day 6. And… I’m feeling really… [Inhales deepy] I’m feeling forgetful, is actually what I was going to say. Um… I feel really, like, flu-y, but, uh, continuing with the eggs from yesterday, I’ve decided to have one protein source every–k I know, isn’t that the best sign? Protein. ‘Cause it’s like ‘p…’ but it’s a group of things. Because I–I love steamed vegetables. I do. But… That is what he does, every single day. [Groans/sighs tiredly] I ate some chicken. Yesterday. I’m going to eat my protein, er, in the evenings, because then that helps me to sleep. [Yawning] My sleep’s been quite bad because I’m hungry. So, that’s good. Day 7. Eyy! And today is the last day of steamed veg, which is excellent! This week I’ve felt pretty bad, erm, both physically and mentally. My health is kind of… pretty precarious…? most of the time, so, maybe,
other people… can do this diet; the whole cleanse thing? Is-is no. I want to just… lie…on the sofa and… play The Sims. Except!
Then I get sad, because my Sim me is, like… so impressive. She’s, like…she’s such a boss. [Laughs] Plus side! Means that I am really good!
At playing The Sims so… there’s that. I am, um, exhausted, a-a-and I stink of garlic, erm… but, you know…I can still find that silver lining. Watch next week for… to see how I do
with re-introducing some new foods. Also!
Also, are healthy foods actually disgusting? Important question. ♪ Lively jazz outro ♪

    A rheumatologist suggested I try a low carb, high fat diet as a way of treating my cfs and fibromyalgia and honestly it made me feel so ill and dizzy all the time I had to give it up. It made me feel so ill all the time and he wanted me to be on it forever!! I hope this works for you, but I've found I've become quite jaded with the whole "diets will help your symptoms" thing I don't think I could do it again

    I started this cleanse and I used Kale and I can't stand the broth 🙁 I wonder if it would be better with Cabbage…

    I do get that this video is a while a go. how are you now? what I wondered is how about herbs? I don't see you adding any like lovage (oké I used google translate to get that from the dutch herb called lavas). also as a cook we always ad bayleaves to broth. is there a reason in the dieet for not using these? I admire you a lot for the way you deal with every thing I hope this dieet helps.

    I won't pretend I know anything about what you are going through but you should check out No Egg Craig's channel he has chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy and he put a stop to it with a whole food plant based diet. I'm more than likely off the mark here but no harm in checking it out. xx

    I started the candida cleanse diet and this is day 2. I got really bad headaches and infection like symptoms. My ovaries and lower part of my tummy hurts so much. I think this is the candida fighting me for not eating any sugar.
    It's so hard and annoying for feeling so fatigue but I'm not giving up.

    When you fast, you go into ketosis, which can lead to a slightly euphoric feeling. That's why you feel great & like you can go on forever at a certain point (the ketosis part). I was just wondering, why can't you just take anti fungals to clear the candida? Like canesten or nystatin or fluconazole, which we use in hospital?

    All of your symptoms come because you are on a serious calory deficit. Not to mention all other nutrients you are lacking… I´m not sure if a certified doctor would aprove this diet at all…I´m just worried for you

    if I honestly ate nothing but broth for 7 days I would be throwing up blood and I would have debilitating migranes. I'm positive this can't be as good for you as people think it is I feel like if you wanna cleanse just be vegan for a week

    I do something called keto, or the ketogenic diet. It’s high fat and very low carb. When’s person starts this, they go through something referred to as “keto flu.” It's caused by low electrolytes and has the same shitty symptoms you’re experiencing. When you cut carbohydrates, which you’ve done by stopping eating, your body dumps salt rather than recycling it, so it have to eat a lot more of it than would make sense to a carb eating person. For keto the recommended salt intake is in the ballpark of a couple teaspoons a day, with some of that being Lite Salt or NoSalt which are low sodium “salts” that have potassium in them. Magnesium spray on the skin means great absorption. Of course, talk to your doctor before doing these things, but it sounds like if you at least up your salt intake you should feel at least a little bit better.

    oooooooooooooh this is weird. in japan (where i live) "vaginal yeast infection" is called "the Canadida disease". don't ask how i know. BUT it's really weird to me that there is a Candida diet o.o vaginal yeast infection diet?

    After your good bacteria died being on a cleansing diet to get the bad ones under control might not be enough. Have you heard about intestinal bacterial flora transplant? It is a way to reintroduce a good bacteria to your digestive system. I'm sorry if you heard about it a million times already but I've just discovered you and I find you very inspiring. I've watched your video about your disorders and your daily life struggles and I littery cried at the end when you started to comfort your audience. I personally felt comforted enormously and my only wish is to return the favour 🙂

    I'm doing the same thing but you don't need to cure candida with a diet. You can literally just take supplements for that.

    your body was going into ketosis, and burning off fat cells… thats explains the burst of energy esp on day 3… the rest is just low blood sugar.

    I'm on the candida diet and I'm super hungry, nauseous, and super tired….I think I'm giving up, I'll just lower sugar and carbs instead of giving it all up

    You dont have to do broths. But it is good to do juices for 2 or 3 days then introduce healthy vegan, low sugar, low starch, no grains (save for quinoa) gluten and yeast and dairy free. I do vegan though. And mainly whole foods. Im on day 4 and ive lost like 5 pounds, my skin has cleared up like Crazy! I have SO MUCH ENERGY. I also do high fiber flax, chia, psyllium husk drinks an warm water with lemon and apple cider vinegar.

    Do apple cider vinegar and lemon warm water! (1 tablespoon each). Then a flax, psyllium husk, chia drink (1 table soon each ground) you will feel AMAZING AND Itll make you feel super full for hours with no crash!

    Late to the party, but saw your video looking up candida stuff. Surprisingly, not a lot of info on here! I fear I may have it ( and/or gluten sensitivity), but I also have a slow thyroid, which shares symptoms. All the best to you and you're so pretty, was surprised you weren't married. Well, hope you found your better half or are happy living your best single life, whatever you choose. Thanks for sharing and hope you got this icky candida under control now!! Kudos!😊
