Did anyone stop to consider that maybe more patients in need of opioids live in the area in stead of automatically assuming the worst or that living in the mountains is a harder life in general that can contribute to more pain meds being needed? Just because those that have abused heroin & in a test it & morophine look the same on a test doesn't mean it was a prescribed opioid caused the death but even if any small amounts of opioids are found ever it is always listed as the cause even when it was enough to cause death on it's own. But no one ever shares those little details because that make the difference because all lumped together makes the numbers grow to make it sound worse & get those government dollars. How about how many were on oxycontin that had to be prescribed in higher doses to be effective but has only come out recently that made people have a higher tolerance to pain relief medications that now need a higher dose to achieve pain relief that others don't or the fact that there are many many reasons for people needing what are now considered high doses for all sorts of medical reasons or even someones weight but again it is all about how it is bad the people dying deprived of effective pain relief because of illegal use mean nothing & nothing is said about the torture of living with pain that is no longer allowed to be relieved by the only proven effective & available opioid medications even The World Health Organization should be available.
