The awesomeness of Probiotics

November 10, 2019

Leda Lum’s Apotheca here to talk about antibiotics and how you should repopulate your digestion with probiotics after taking antibiotics So this one. oh man lets see if I can pronounce this. Saccharomyces Boulardii. Now this one in particular you want to take. there is a bacteria that can proliferate in your gut, Cdiff. thats got to be short for something. longer. Its bacteria that can over grow after you take antibiotics. especially hard core antibiotics, like if you have like a kidney infection you need to take some intense antibiotics. C diff can proliferate and it kind of creates that sort of sulfury flatulants. this helps counter act the C diff. This particular probiotic. So I got some of that just because I had taken so many courses of probiotics recently. and then this is a good one, Super Multidophilus, 24 different strands. so then this one is a, rather than a lacto based probiotic, this one is a soil based probiotics. This one is real expensive its about $70 prescript assist. this one is particularly intense. ive been reading on line a lot of people have intense reactions to this particular probiotic I definitely can feel it processing things more readily. I didnt have an intense reaction. my roomate, i gave her one and she kind of had a little bit of a cleansing crisis. she eats really well, lots of fruit, vegetables. so this one, people try and take it you know less often. but if you are taking an intense probiotic for like a kidney infection or for an intense infection in your organs. you might want to, while your doing that so you dont have a crazy reaction after taking the probiotics You might want to, you know, after you take your antibiotic, a few hours later take these different probiotics. and eat yogurt, and coconut kefir, milk based kefir. eat your fermented vegetables while your on an intense antibiotics to help balance out. so your body isnt totally devoid of probiotic population. And especially afterwards. I would take this one for your C diff, so it doesnt over grow in your gut. And im really into this one, it has 29 different strains. So these three different probiotics balance each other so you have a lot of different strains of Different kinds of probiotics. thats also why you want to eat different probiotic foods as well. so that you have a variety. and everybody has their own particular population of gut flora which you inherit from your mother, your parents, your environment as you grow out of childhood. Anyway, I feel like this is particularly important for your health and antibiotics, sometimes we need them, but you want to protect yourself from other diseases and autoimmune diseases that can happen later that you might be more susceptible. might. i dont know

This is an excellent topic regardless of how one chooses to get more probiotics in their body. Antibiotics helped do a number (#2) on my digestive health. But we live and we learn, I guess.

Probiotics are a freaking miracle. They can completely turn your health around and improve your mood. There are a lot of studies done on HN019, which is a colonizing probiotic, meaning that the probiotic adheres to the gut wall and continues to populate in the gut when fed well through eating the right foods. It just blows my mind that the mainstream medical community doles out so many prescriptions, to include antibiotics, when they could be keeping people off prescriptions by boosting their immune health through the use of probiotics. I think it's positive that people are waking up to their use and videos such as this one are helping to turn peoples' health in a positive direction.

There is no need to take probiotics in pill or powder form when you can get massive benefits from probiotics found in real food.

Good advice. Also add prebiotics (food for the good bacteria) such as resistant starch, inulin, FOS, things like leeks, raw onions, raw garlic, etc.
