Swine Flu Symptoms vs. Cold Symptoms

October 5, 2019

Hello, I’m the common cold. (Older, un-fashionable
man) And I’m the swine flu. (Young, hip man)
(Cold slightly annoyed) I affect tens of millions of people a year
I have affected millions of people so far this year.
I am also known as an Upper Respiratory Infection. I am also known as H1N1.
(snorting) Well that’s pretty basic. Actually it’s an acronym based on my hemagglutinin
(H) and neuraminidase (N) protein structure. (annoyed) You’re kind of new here, aren’t
you? Fairly new. But effective.
So, where’d you come from? Mexico. Abouts.
(Cold getting more annoyed) Well I’m easily spread by human to human contact.
Yup, me too. By sneezing?
Yup. By coughing?
Uh huh. I cause all kinds of problems like sneezing,
coughing, sore throat, and a runny nose. I cause fever, coughing, sore throat, sneezing,
runny nose, headache, chills, muscle aches and fatigue, diarrhea and vomiting.
(Cold getting more annoyed) I bet you think you’re pretty scary, don’t you?
I pretty much terrify people. You should see all the videos I have devoted to me on YouTube.
I hate both of you. (Walks away)
