Simple Coronavirus or Flu Mask DIY

March 1, 2020

So basically I’m going to make a mask
because nobody wants the Corona virus and I hear they’re even getting
sold out some places. So we got like the masks
that are like regular. So what you’re gonna need is like fabric
and then you can either do a elastic or ribbon. and it’s good
to have mesureing tape. But I mean you can use a piece of string
to measure with and then like needles and a sewing machine and all this stuff. And the first thing we’re going to do is
we’re going to take our measuring tool and this is like seven
inches. But seriously, it really doesn’t cover my whole face. It just covers like my nose and I had the flu last week. It was awful. So I actually want to go with like
more so I can really cover my face. So instead of like the seven it
gives you, I’m going to go with nine. So they’d get my whole face move feet like yeah, did. They kind of gets under my
chin so that that’s good. But you want to put like an extra half
inch for all of the seams that you finish it off with. So needs to be like eight
or at least up here and the seven and three quarters
range. So I’ll just go, go nice and quick and cut it easy. I need scissors, scissors. So I’m just going to finger press it. Finish off the sides. [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] here we go. Now if you want, you can make, um, little tightening things right
in the middle before you, so, so I would go like this and
then I fold it over or no, not where you could like,
um, put a thing on the end. Um, to finish it off
after doing the little [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] Hey, that’s the side. Yeah. Okay. You put a little, a notch in it
right there so that it folds over. Put it in about that much and hold it over like that. No, I get that. Like that. [inaudible] if you wanted to, you could even
put a little elastic in there. Options. Yeah. [inaudible] [inaudible] yeah. And I’m going to cut that little triangle triangle. [inaudible] doesn’t want to deal
with this thick fabric. You’re going to size it around my face. Okay. So I can take a little off down there. It looks like and tuck it up. Okay. Yeah. Gotta to take that pin out. Yeah. [inaudible] lower that foot and bring
this all the way down. [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] and you know what? I found that I do want to get a
little bit of a tuck in there. So I’m just going to pin
this down right here. Pin the other side too. Right about there. [inaudible] and I’m just gonna go ahead. [inaudible] so across it [inaudible] Oh, it’s all messy in there. [inaudible] do that one more time.
Right over [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] there we go. Corona worthy designer mask.
