Ok, I just need to put the camera on the tripod… Nevermind, let’s change location! Hi guys, welcome to my last video of 2018 This video you just saw was a video I produced for a contest that Epidemic Sound is hosting basically the winner gets a DJI Ronin-S. They will evaluate the quality and originality of the video But they will also take in consideration the engagement (on Instagram) of the post. So I would like to ask you a favor Go to my Instagram account @pauloancarvalho and leave a comment in the video. 🙏 Winning a contest like this is very difficult because there’s always someone better than us so I’m not expecting to win the contest at all, but what matters is that I produced this video to share with you, and it was fun doing it. A week ago Epidemic Sound posted this contest and I thought to myself: of course I have to enter! I’ve been working on this video for a few days now since Epidemic Sound announced it because it has to be original I had to think of an idea first. Only 3 days ago I had my final idea and started filming and editing the video. I must admit that when I started editing the video I wasn’t very confidant but now that I finished it I’m really excited to share it with you right now I’m recording this vlog and I can’t wait to share it with you on YouTube. Honestly to me it doesn’t matter if I win or not talking with you here on YouTube and on Instagram is what matters the most, more than winning the contest. Now on the second topic, is it worth it creating a YouTube channel in 2019? Hm… I think it is! But let’s change location to talk about about this topic. Guys we are back! This video was supposed to be published on christmas day but you know how it goes, shopping on the last day… It’s true, christmas day became very busy… So here we are, filming the second part of the video here in our city Take a look at… The sunset behind us, and over there… Guys, earlier today in the morning we woke up at… 7:20am right? At 7:20am to film the sunrise with the drone. What do you think of showing them the footage? Or maybe, edit a small video of the footage we got? Guys the footage was incredible right? The only problem is that… too much cold! By the end of the first battery flying the drone, I didn’t feel my hands anymore. So let’s talk about the second topic, which is, is it worth it creating a YouTube channel in 2019? Yes, it’s worth it, however you should think before creating it why would you want to create a YouTube channel in 2019. In our case we started making these videos to share them with our friends and family, right? And create memories worth watching later. When did we film the first video? February of… 2017? On which day? 19! It was on February 19th, Carina’s birthday’s on 18th And we went to Pena Aventura Park on the 19th I only had a GoPro back then To film some stuff we do And that’s when everything started, we started sharing these kind of videos on YouTube and we thought to ourselves: “this is fun”, and since I’ve always worked on a creative area, I’m a Web Designer naturally I started enjoying producing and editing video. We are also dancers, and dancing is a form of art as well, So everything related to arts, is something that we somehow enjoy. So, if you’re thinking about creating a YouTube channel do it because you want to do it for yourservelves. Don’t do it thinking you’re going to become famous or that you’re going to make lots of money because actually we don’t make any money at all with our channel (from ad revenue) Or thinking that you’re going to live on a YouTuber’s masion… Basically a YouTuber is someone who makes a living our of YouTube, it’s their job. We do make a living of video prodution/editing, but that’s not the only thing we do professionally, We also develop websites Carina has her job as well, and we are also dance instructors on a school dance my mother runs, she is a dancer teacher, but Carina and I teach dance classes as well, so we have multiple money income sources this way. I had to switch with Carina to use my other arm to vlog because having only one arm available mas it more difficult to rest the other. So, start creating videos now, create your YouTube channel NOW, because if you think it’s late already, it’s going to be always later tomorrow than it is today. YouTube is becoming saturated with creators and viewers, but that’s actually a good thing, because YouTube is a community And having more viewers is important for creators like us, more viewers means a bigger audience, it’s because of you that creators like us are able to exist. So guys, without further a do, I see you in 2019, this was our last video this year Don’t forget to leave us a comment on the video (Instagram @pauloancarvalho) we submitted for the DJI Ronin-S contest. If we win this contest, which will be very difficult because like I said, there’s always better than us we make a review of the DJI Ronin-S for you and all our videos will improve in cinematic quality. At least they won’t be as shaky as they are now, see? So guys, I hope you had an amazing christmas, we’re at the end of the park, so, happy new year! Always looking for sunflares See you next time! Vlogger life guys!
