As a person who's best friend is a sociopath, I can tell you Sherlock has a more accurate representation than most tv shows. While not all of the aspects of Sherlock are completely right, I can tell you that some of his reactions are quite realistic to actual sociopathic behaviour. What is a difference, in my case, is that if a sociopath becomes attached to you, they can become extremely affectionate and wont ever let you go, unlike sherlock, who conceals his affection for Wattson more than he accurately should

However he is a high functioning sociopath, while my friend is in the 'normal' (although there isnt really a normal) category for sociopthatic behaviour

  • Reply Onyx December 8, 2019 at 9:33 pm

    He should review Joker

  • Reply Derek B. Elkin December 8, 2019 at 10:55 pm

Comment on the case of John Nash, he actually, strangely but surely was able to sort of understand what was reality and what wasn t. It s the only case that I know like that. Otherwise, please consult mental health specialist for treatment. John Nash was a mathematician and mathematicians thinks differently from the general population. The problem solving abilities of Nash helped him. Do not attempt to recreate though.

Yes, because one "professional" has the right to speak for the behalf of literally millions of other licensed professionals. Some who will agree and disagree with this individual's assessment. Great video. Biased click bait nonsense. Thanks for promoting the misinformation plague online. You do an immense service for social integrity. ?

I think my favorite quote about sociopaths and psychopaths is; "Not all sociopaths are psychopaths, but all psychopaths are sociopaths" Idk why, but that's always stuck with me. Probably because I'm still not sure wich one my bio-dad is. Lol.

  • Reply Pepper Cull December 12, 2019 at 5:07 am

  • Reply L P December 12, 2019 at 3:26 pm

I didn't appreciate the "stream of creepy music" when you described Antisocial people. Everyone claims that the romanticization of mental health issues is a problem and yet nobody seems to realize that fearmongering is just as bad, if not worse. Stop screaming that stigmatizations exist for a handful of "acceptable" disorders if you are going to blatantly disrespect and disregard the others. You've probably been in contact with at least dozens of socio/psychopaths in your life by now, and absolutely none of you have been preyed upon or murdered by them to the point that stock halloween music needs to be queued up whenever their disorder is mentioned. Tuh. ? Stop dehumanizing actual people struggling with actual conditions because those particular conditions make you feel "uneasy". ?

  • Reply yew 2oob December 27, 2019 at 4:15 am

At 5:00 this guy shows himself to be extremely biased…the movie depicts Nash out-thinking schizophrenia which he deems unrealistic…except that IS what happened in reality. There is a weird idea in western psychology that likes to think that the mind can unravel and be treated with meds but can not be put back together in a functional way without meds. The idea of choosing to be more mentally healthy is not "realistic" only because the reality is that you are not allowed to even express the idea that mental illness can be functionally cured without doctors and medicine.
