wa-l-khayru fi l-jam’iyyah. Our Prophet
ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is saying in order to be protected in a place of epidemic, you should stay where you are. Our Prophet ﷺ said this 1,400 years ago. People don’t follow it. It means that the power of Allāh ﷻ is ruling over us. For people to remember Allāh ﷻ, such situations occur. These conditions are means for believers to strengthen their faith. Other things are also means to remember Allāh ﷻ. However, our Prophet ﷺ tells to take precautions. Whatever precaution is required,
you should take it. Our Prophet
ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam said to take precaution first,
then trust in Allāh ﷻ. Therefore, during such situations, regardless of who is clean or not, you shouldn’t be around people much. You should keep away from people because the matter of cleanliness is the first issue in Islām. Cleanliness is the foundation of faith. If there is no cleanliness, no worship is accepted. Therefore, cleanliness is important. A Muslim should be clean. He should pay attention to his cleanliness and cleanliness around him. Unfortunately, in Muslim countries there is nothing of this aspect. They don’t care about cleanliness. But they clean out of
obligation for worship. And the opposite in
countries of unbelievers. Everywhere is clean but there is no real
cleanliness and ablution. We should pay attention to this. And for people not to catch it, Mawlānā used to say don’t hug and kiss each other. It shouldn’t be done. As a better precaution and obedience to our Prophet’s ﷺ order, keeping his sunnah is enough. Kissing a hand is not necessary. No need to hug at all. And trust in Allāh ﷻ in other things. Keep your prayers. Watch your cleanliness. Don’t forget ṣadaqah at all.
These are the precautions. Trust in Allāh ﷻ afterwards. This is the precaution.
And trust comes next. Allāh ﷻ will protect in shā’a Llāh. No need to panic and be afraid. Who is afraid? Afraid are those
who have weak faith. Therefore, don’t panic at all. As long as you take these precautions, trust in Allāh ﷻ and have peace of mind. Have a safe heart in shā’a Llāh. May Allāh ﷻ protect.
