America has tons of opioids arriving in America from other countries. Anyone who has had or given people in pain or dying know how hard it is to just get it filled.

  • Reply ValhalaFiveSix March 3, 2018 at 2:51 am

This is hysterical propaganda, uh opioids cause a lot of overdoses, they don't bother to distinguish the amount of overdoses from illegal non medical opiates such as heroin and medical prescription. They mix it all in to give the impression that tens of thousands die from prescriptions. That is utter bullshit that physicians are telling people or prescribing opioids, try getting opioids from your family doc…they won't do it. This topic is full of lies, and hysteria and makes it scary for chronic pain patients.

OxyContin is one of the most dangerous drugs ever made!! I know! I’m in recovery! I live in chronic pain I had to have major back surgery. I have permanent nerve damage. And Oxys made me not only addicted but actually made my pain worse over time! BC your brain just craves more! Oxys should be banned!! The maker of the drug KNEW how harmful they were and lied to government about this!! It’s all about money & the big pharma doesn’t care how many people are killed!!! I’m so happy POTUS TRUMP is doing something about the opioid epidemic!!

I think a pain management class in high school could help. Teaching in depth, about what pain means. For pain is a good thing. There are reason why we have it. Make children aware, once you start taking pain med's, the longer your on them. The less and less effective they are. For the body adapts to them. I'm in pain every day. But I've learned to under stand. When and where I should take them. And I should never take a pain pill, just so I can feel conferable. Only take them, when there is need to do so! The under standing of what that truly means, is not clear enough for most people i think.

  • Reply Justin B March 3, 2018 at 3:06 am

I don't care who you are of what kind of personally you have. A person cannot take opiates without becoming physically dependant and I mean quick. No matter who you are they will turn you out.

  • Reply The Traveler March 3, 2018 at 3:10 am

If people TRULY understood what the pharmaceutical industry has done to us, they would march on their home offices and lynch them all. Just wait til people wake up to the mental pills that they dish out. They cause mental problems, not prevent them. I know plenty of people first hand that I can say that about. Tucker says we are supposed to trust our doctors? Lol! I have news for you folks, NEVER trust a doctor, lawyer, politician or banker. A street thug is more trustworthy.

Was on hydrocodon 20 years for chronic pain. 1 X in the morning and 1 X afternoon. Then all of a sudden NO More scripts for it and resorted to aliev , motion, Tylenol aspirin and NOW have gut problems on top of chronic pain. Thanks for nothing! Not everybody becomes skid row addicts Aholes! Some people took medicine as prescribed and lived happy productive lives. So what! It's a cheap bandaid for pain and no severe side effects. But, damn it worked. Btw, didn't HAVE to take the afternoon pill unless needed. Addicts will be addicts no matter how you reformulate Niquill, Sudafed and baby proof the world. Just make pot LEAGAL for them and bring back my damn pain pills PLEASE.
Refuse to take their other designer drugs that you have to take with a list of SEVERE SIDE EFFECTS.

They also place people on antidepressants after they were addicted to opoids knowing the brain knows no difference and keeps feeding the persons addictive cravings. So they got their dollars covered while keeping people addicted and antidepressants take months to leave the system. They know it. Viscous cycle ruining people's lives and futures.

What BS , opiod addiction had been known for millennia for gods sake, remember the opium wars, thousand of years they have known. It is opiod drugs that are addictive, they are physically addictive, if you don't get another tablet your body puts you through hell. These doctors are State sanctioned drug dealers for the ruling elite that control the global drug trade.

I had a lung surgery in 2011 and was in the hospital for 2 months, once i got out i was already addicted physically. I had pain for about 6 months and then i get lost if I was in pain or I was mentally addicted. That was easy with just hardship and barely help from anywhere. Thank God for my family and a doctor that talked to me 2 years later and was a big influence in me deciding to go cold turkey. After 2 months of bad withdrawals I woke up one day feeling alive and so good that it was over with and every day since than I am grateful for everything. Life is such a beautiful magical thing. I try to share my story in hopes it will help someone make that decision to stop.

Tucker, when the ads for opioids are on the Fox live stream, there are all kinds of warnings, but not many,if any, warnings about possible opioid addiction resulting from use of the product.Do you remember the class actions against tobacco companies for not warning smokers that cigarettes caused cancer? Why not have class actions by families who lost a family member to opioid addiction, against the drug companies and doctors, for not warning users of possible addiction and o.d's?

I live in Ky. yes. people went to pain clinics to get these.
    investigate those Dr's.
Some people were in pain and took Dr's advice. some addicts or dealers shopped those places.
I never saw one of those pain clinics that was not run by pakistani or Muslim Dr's.

Doctor's have become legalized dope dealers, they tried to get my 17 nephew to take opioids. They gave him a 2 month supply. Luckily he didn't take it because he'd seen what it can do. He's still playing football no thanks to the doc and big pharma.

there was massive, massive diversion of pills to the streets….Florida was the very last state to sign a prescription opioid monitoring database into law. Jeb Bush didn't want it. South Florida had pain management clinics and pill mills everywhere. If you need 100,000 doses of pain meds to treat everyone in a region, yet they order 10,000,000 doses, why else would they allow that to happen for a decade before they started to really take action?? $$$$$$

Also they are gluttons .asked the pundits how many died from just opiod .very low .over two hundred thousand have died so far .not fro oxycodone but from heroin.only thirty three hundred died from the oxycodone .when the feds busted the doctors the doctors threw their patients to the winds.they we're sick no oxycodone s ok they went for the heroin not to be sick .that's when the dying started .sixty seven thousand last year alone .when the gov. Tucker, just last night I heard you argue that " people kill people, not guns ". Very sensible and in my opinion true. But, then tonight I hear you remove personal responsibility from the argument and blame "opioids". By the way there are classes of opioids, and pain patients, as the good doctor attempted to enlighten you, each requires a different level of management. Same with pain patients. I've still not seen a study that differs from the original study that showed less than 1% of pain patients prescribed opioids, develop an addiction.  I've had two nephews die from overdose, both heroin. Yes, an opioid but not one supplied by the pharmaceutical industry. As teenagers both started with marijuana. Took them less than ten years to progress to heroin and then less than 15 to O.D.
