Lyme Disease: Is The Tick-Borne Illness Even Real?

December 11, 2019

I’m working on a story about chronic
Lyme disease. You’ve heard of Lyme disease, it’s that
thing you get from ticks, you take antibiotics. Except Lyme disease is
actually really controversial. There have been these conspiracy theories about Lyme, some of them are really wild, but these days the controversies are around
chronic Lyme. There are a lot of patients getting treatment for a kind of
persistent long term Lyme that can survive antibiotics. Only the thing is
chronic Lyme doesn’t officially exist according to the Centers for Disease
Control it’s not a thing. So as this whole medical debate is
raging, there are communities of patients gathering online and self diagnosing. They accuse doctors of ignoring them dismissing them as crazy. At the same time, doctors say they have patients with this whole host of
symptoms showing up and demanding treatment for chronic Lyme. As all of this happens it’s inconvenient to note that Lyme disease is on the rise in the
U.S. It’s a pretty big number, 300,000 cases of Lyme disease, that six times
more common than AIDS, it’s 10 times more common than hepatitis C, it’s 20 times
more common than tuberculosis in this country, so it’s a huge epidemic. You’ll be scared of the woods. Check back in a few weeks for our report.

Looking forward to this one as my workplace is a haven for ticks carrying lyme disease.

I do know a girl now a woman who had untreated lymes disease for years and it still affects her now. she is from the uk and this disease is less common there…she would go to Europe every year multiple times a year but it was missed by doctors for at least 3 to 5 years, so id say chronic lymes disease is possible for people who were treated very late.

There is no controversy, it's a manufactroversy. Chronic Lyme doesn't exist.

Limes Disease is likely 100% curable without any drugs. Given my knowledge of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome (which have similar symptoms to Limes disease), I am suspect that Limes disease is a TMS equivalent. Which is 100% curable. If you suspect that you have Limes disease I would highly recommend that you research Tension Myositis Syndrome – Dr. E Sarno pioneered the research on this.

Sadly Canada is going to take the approach as America in dealing with Lyme disease. This is not a good thing

Lol try living with this hell of a disease… then tell me if u believe. Its because the cdc doesnt recognize it they say its not a real disease. There are lyme literate doctors out there that do believe. Hope you never get it . Try educating yourself instead of listening to mainstream doctors that have GOD written on their foreheads and tell u its fibromyalgia when all that is a blanket diagnoses for hey patient i dont know whats really wrong with u.
