Learning About Our Biggest Organ

October 22, 2019

SKIN DOES PLAY A VITAL ROLE IN PROTECTING OUR BODY. IT SERVES AS A PROTECTIVE SHIELD FOR OUR INTERNAL ORGANS AGAINST HEAT, LIGHT, AND INFECTION. TELL US WHAT ELSE THE SKIN DOES AS FAR AS THE PROTECTIVE ROLE. OUR SKIN IS THE LARGEST ORGAN IN OUR BODY. THE MAIN FUNCTION IS TO PROTECT US FROM OUR ENVIRONMENT. PARTICULARLY, BACTERIA, VIRUSES, FUNGUS, AND UNWANTED SUBSTANCES. NORMALLY, OUR SKIN SHEDS AND HAS ABOUT 1000 DIFFERENT SPECIES OF SECTARIAN, AND THIS IS BACTERIA, AND THIS IS WHAT WE CALL SKIN FLORA. WHEN WE SEE A DISRUPTION OF THE SKIN FLORA AND SKIN LAYERS, THIS CAN LEAD TO A SKIN INFECTION. GOOD TO KNOW. WE HAVE AN IMAGE THAT FEATURES THE LAYERS OF THE SKIN. WE LIKE TO LOOK AT IT AND PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT THEY ARE. WE HAVE THREE LAYERS. WE HAVE THE EPIDERMIS, THE DERMIS, AND SUBCUTANEOUS THAT TISSUE. OUR SKIN HAS MULTIPLE LAYERS. THE DEEPER THE SKIN LAYER GETS AFFECTED, THE WORSE THE INFECTION WILL BE. IN THE FIRST LAYER, THE EPIDERMIS, IT HAS THEN YET TOUGH PART OF OUR BODY. IT ASK IS A PROTECTIVE SHELL. THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF THIS AND THE WAY IT PROTECTS US FROM OUR ENVIRONMENT AND HARMFUL SUBSTANCES IN OUR ENVIRONMENT IS THAT IT ALSO CONTINUOUSLY SHEDS. IT IS ALWAYS REGENERATING ITSELF. YOU CAN FIND TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DEAD EPIDERMAL CELLS CONSTANTLY, EVERY MINUTE OF THE DAY SLOUGHING OFF.
