How To Stay Safe From Every Virus | Joseph Prince

February 17, 2020

Stay tuned for the latest message excerpt
from You know, church. The word “pestilence” is very interesting. In Psalm 91, it says “pestilences”. But it’s not: “Oh, I am a Christian and so
Psalm 91 will happen to me naturally.” No. You got to say it. “He who dwells in the secret place of the
Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord.” I will say of the Lord. “He is my refuge and my fortress. My God in Him I will trust.” The next verse says: “Surely, He shall deliver
you from the snare of the fowler.” I see you all learning well, praise God! I’m so proud of this church! “Surely, He shall deliver you from the snare
of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence.” Alright? The word “pestilence” is there. And it goes on to say: “He will cover you
with His feathers and under His wings you will take refuge. His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night
nor for the arrow that flies by day. Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness.” We don’t know where the coronavirus is. Once it became a community thing, everyone
suspects everyone. No no no, you don’t have to be afraid. The verse says: “You shall not be afraid of
the pestilence that walks in darkness.” You don’t know where is it, but you do not
have to be afraid of it. Why? God protects you. “You shall not be afraid of the pestilence
that walks in darkness nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand
at your right hand.” So the word “side” here refers to your left
side right? “A thousand may fall at your side and ten
thousand at your right hand but it shall not come near you.” Love it. Now, you love Hebrew right? Can I give you a bit more? Hebrew? Look at this word “pestilence”. It is the word “deber” in Hebrew. Now I am going to show you something. Very interesting. Let’s take out that word in Hebrew. And we have the word there—pestilence or
deber. Now, look at the letters. Got that? Do you know what I found out? The etymology of this word is also- look at
this- it is also this word “dabar”. “Dabar” means word. Word. Same letters right? Only the pronounciation changed because of
the points. The little dots. The dots there changed the points. Can you see the dots? It’s different? But they are made up of the same letters. Which means that “word”/”dabar” is the root
word of “pestilence”/”deber”. When God hides words like this, He is telling
us something! What you say has a profound effect. What you say has got something to do with
releasing or protecting you from this pestilence. That’s the nugget I received in Hebrew. And the first time this word is used in the
noun form, which is “dabar”, is this. Genesis 15:1 “After these things the word
of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.'” Now, if the Lord came to Abram in a vision,
what do you think He saw from the Lord? A shield. He saw a shield. A shield is for protection. But this is the first time the noun of the
“dabar” appears in this word. “After these things the “dabar” of the Lord
came. He came as a shield. For the pestilence. Now look up here people, you see what you
say is important. You say: “You never know, it is like the law
of probability. You know? You might get it, you might not get it.” Don’t say that. We are depending on the unshakeable word of
the living God. “You shall not be afraid of the pestilence
that walks in darkness.” Can I have a good amen? The Bible says the power of life and death
is in the tongue. The wisest man that ever lived wrote that
in the book of Proverbs by the Holy Spirit. “The power of life and death is in the tongue.” Now, don’t give almighty power in the tongue. The tongue is a little tool. God uses the weak things of the world to confound
the mighty. It is just an example of that. Your tongue’s power latches on the almightiness
of God. Psalm 91 is actually covering every area,
even every area of you! Serious! I was meditating on this yesterday, I was
looking at it and my goodness! Your top is covered. You know why? “He shall cover you with His feathers and
under His wings you shall take refuge.” Right? Like a mother hen covers. One lady was walking in the darkness and she
heard the Psalm 91 teaching in America. And then, a guy came up and grabbed her from
behind and all she could remember about the sermon was “He will cover you with His feathers”. She shouted: “FEATHERS! FEATHERS!” And the guy fled. Alright? There’s enough power in one word of God. So He will cover you with His feathers, it’s
the top isn’t it? Your bottom too. “You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra. The young lion and the serpent you will trample
underfoot.” Right? Danger from below. Am I right? Even your left hand is protected. Why? And your right hand also. “A thousand shall fall at your side.” Very near right? Doesn’t come to you. “Ten thousand at your right hand”. So your left and right are covered. Top and bottom? Covered. Family. “No plague shall come near your dwelling.” “Dwelling” refers to your family. Amen? Isn’t it amazing? It covers everything! Your entire life too! All seasons. “You shall not be afraid of the terror by
night nor for the arrow that flies by day nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness
nor for the destruction that lays waste at noonday.” Whether it is at night, noon, darkness, whatever
it is— you are covered 24/7. What about your years? “With long life will I satisfy him.” “With long life.” When I look at 2020, I discovered the letters
make up 2 hands. KAF and KAF. The letter KAF. Say ‘KAF’. Where our English probably got its’ derivative. Your cuff. From this hand. KAF is the hollow of the palm. And it means to bless. KAF KAF. YUD is a generic term used for the hand. Or YAD. Okay? But KAF means an “open hand of blessing”. It is not a closed hand. It is an open hand. Amen? So 2020 is two open hands. In fact, the word for “son” in Hebrew is the
word “Ben”. If your name is “Benjamin”, it means “Son
of the right hand.” Amen? But the word “bar” is also son in Hebrew,
more Aramaic. For example, Jesus looked at Peter and said:
“Simon bar Jonah”. That means “Simon, Son of Jonah.” Now, if you look at “bar” and you place a
“KAF” at the end, it becomes Barak. So barak means blessing. Barak. Okay? So here you go, the Son is blessing. And that is what we see Jesus doing. “Blessing” is always the idea of Jesus’ hand
extending to us. And it is a KAF! Can I have a good amen? We have a picture to show you. This is what I believe is happening all the
time! Jesus is always imparting, always blessing,
always restoring and delivering, AND PROTECTING! Do you know what else I discovered? Don’t forget the generic word for “hand” is
YAD. So I felt the Lord leading me and He asked
me to study Psalm 91 in the Hebrew and I began to study it. I did it in the past, I am doing it again. But this time, He told me to do something
I never saw before. He said: “Look at the first letter of Psalm
91.” So I looked at it and it is Yashav and it
means to “sit down”. It all begins with sitting down. He who sits— literally, He who dwells is
He who sits. So the first thing we need to do in this crisis. We want God’s protection on us? Don’t worry. Don’t be anxious. Sit down. You only sit when the work is finished. The priests of the Old Testament were always
standing. That’s why there was no seat in the Tabernacle
of Moses although there was a table. Because their work is never finished. But Jesus sat down at the Father’s right hand! And we are seated with Christ. Ephesians tells us. So people, sit down. In every crisis, the devil is always saying:
“What are you going to do about this?” You say: “I am not going to do anything. It is done. I see the victory already.” Sit down. With everything, it is like a fresh sitting
down. What about this coronavirus? Are you scared? “No. I know I am protected from it already. I am seated with Christ, far above it. It will not come near me and my family. Amen.” Sit down. Even a fresh sitting if you want to. So the first thing He says is sit. The very first word is sit. And in the Hebrew grammatical construction,
the very first word is usually the emphasis. And I also noticed something else— the very
first letter is Yad. Or Yud. For the hand. Got it? Yud. Now watch this now. That is the very first letter that opens up
Psalm 91. The very last letter is also a Yad. And God spoke to me: “Tell them. Not only am I blessing them, I’ve got them
with both hands.” Psalm 91 is like a picture of the all-encompassing
hands protecting us with all these promises and blessings. Can I have a good amen people?

    "Psalms 91:14,15"
    14✨The Lord says,
    “Because he is devoted to me, I will deliver him;
I will protect him because he is loyal to me.
15✨When he calls out to me, I will answer him.
    I will be with him when he is in trouble;
I will rescue him and bring him honor.

If we look at the life of Stephen, we can realise that this Psalm wasn't true in the literal sense that it's behind preached.

Stephen was devoted to God, but he wasn't delivered, but rather he was killed.

    "Acts 7:55,59,60"
55✨But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked intently toward heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.
59✨They continued to stone Stephen while he prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!”
60✨Then he fell to his knees and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them!” When he had said this, he died.

The Old Covenant was a time were God was distant & people had to keep calling & praying to Him for favors. The New Covenant in Christ is completely different. Today God lives inside His born-again children. The born-again believer today lives by faith in the blood of Christ to the complete washing of his/her sins. The only longing in the true believer is the longing to see their Savior face to face at His coming.

All their needs have been meet in Jesus Christ. Now nothing can separate them from the peace that Christ has placed in them through His indwelling presence. No sickness, no financial need, no social need, no nothing will bother a true child of God, because he knows that His Daddy is living inside him/her & is aware of everything happening in their lives. That's all they need to know! Whether they die of Corona virus or live another 100 years, they're already satisfied 💯% in Christ.
