Get the shot, not the flu

November 19, 2019

– President Stanley
here, along with Sparty, to remind you that it’s not
too late to protect yourself and others from influenza, the flu. As a doctor, I know how
serious the flu can be. It can come on very suddenly
and be associated with things like fever, chills, body
aches, nausea, vomiting, and of course, respiratory
symptoms as well. A whole bunch of things that can get very dangerous very quick. Sadly, tens of thousands of
people die in the United States every year from the flu
and its complications, such as pneumonia. There is a way to protect yourself, and that’s the flu vaccine. It’s safe and effective,
and it’s your best chance of either preventing the disease or getting a much mild case of the flu. Getting the flu vaccine is not just about protecting yourself, it’s about keeping others healthy as well. So, we’ve got our shots and now it’s time for you to get yours. There’s several locations around
campus that are available. So the one thing I want
you to remember is, get the shot not the flu.

No, no no. Our dr. told us 20 years ago not to get THAT shot. It is not particularly safe, and people get flu anyway as there are what?..Over 2000 strains of flu and the vaccine has only about 4? That is NOT protection. It is a way for big pharma to make money, and that's the bottom line.
