Very kind of your mother to be open with her struggles, I'm certain that any patient would find help in this video.

    Nice job Joey!

Thank you for bringing this to light! Thanks to your Mom for sharing!

Over the past 3.5 years since my bicycle accident (that left me disabled)…I have learned (and an STILL learning) that mindset is HUGE – not only to illnesses, but also recovery. Who you surround yourself with is paramount!

All the best to your mother and your family, and congratulations to her on her successful treatment. Cancer stories are powerful. I had several surgeries for a rare form of melanoma and I can state unequivocally that maintaining a positive outlook was so important going into treatment and recovery. Look into "dispositional optimism" and "fear of cancer recurrence" for essential information that I wish someone had shared with me after my diagnosis and treatment. I had to learn about both topics on my own and they helped me immensely, but they definitely would have made a positive difference during those stressful times if I had known about them beforehand.
