Dr. Elizabeth Taylor-Hui – Family Doctor in Red Bluff

October 21, 2019

I think a great day is any day you
really feel like you’ve made a difference. I love babies, but again I
love talking with some of my older patients and so really just the patient
interaction is the best part. I really like to do a holistic approach and if
somebody’s having high blood pressure, wait, is there something that’s worrying
you? Is there some anxiety going on, something else other than, oh hey here’s
a pill and we’ll see you in three months. One of the things I love to do
especially for stress relief is baking. I’ve been baking since I was a kid and
so it’s been so much fun to be able to pass that on to my son now that he can
stand up at the counter and he loves to squish the butter and
using the spoon isn’t nearly as much fun. Even my daughter you know try
to keep her involved and so she’ll sit there and she’ll play with you. If
we have sprinkles or flour and it’s a lot of fun. My husband grew up in a big
city and they didn’t really make anything at all so it’s the whole new
world for him, well you can make these things from scratch. What? I embody human kindness by connecting with patients and providing compassionate care and really
trying to listen to somebody and see them as a whole person with a background and these other things that have fed into and led to where they are today and
trying to understand that to provide better medical care. I am Dr. Hui and
I am a Dignity Health Medical Group Physician.
