September 10, 2019

WMUR’S ADAM SEXTON JOINS US LIVE NOW WITH MORE. THE ABSENTEE RIGHT HERE IS STILL WELL UNDER 10%, SO THIS IS NOT A SEVERE OUTBREAK, BUT ADMINISTRATORS TELL US IS THAT WANT TO PUT AN END TO IT AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. THE SCHOOL NURSE WAS THE FIRST ONE TO NOTICE THE PROBLEM HERE LAST WEEK. A LOT OF KID WERE GETTING THE SAME STOMACH BUG. WHILE THERE’S BEEN NO OFFICIAL DIAGNOSIS OF NOROVIRUS, THE ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT SAYS THE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH THE STATE AND THAT’S WHAT THEY BELIEVE IS GOING AROUND HERE. THE CENTRAL SCHOOL HAD 30 KIDS OUT SICK ON FRIDAY, AND ANOTHER 30 TODAY. JUST TODAY THE MIDDLE SCHOOL STARTED SEEING ITS ABSENCES SPIEB AND THEY HAD ABOUT 30 THERE TOO. BOTH SCHOOLS ARE GETTING AND HAVE RECEIVED THOROUGH CLEANINGS, AND PARENTS ARE BEING KEPT IN THE LOOP. IF ANY CHILD HAS SYMPTOMS OF THE STOMACH FLU, VOMITING OR DEE RE: ACOR ANY UP– DIARRHEA, OR STOMACH CRAMPS, WE ASK THAT THEY STAY HOME. IF IT LASTS MORE THAN A DAY OR TWO, WE ASK THEY BE TAKEN TO THE PHYSICIAN. UNFORTUNATELY HERE AT THE CENTRAL SCHOOL, IT MEANS NO
