Does Candida Cause Acne Rosacea

August 17, 2019

Greetings. New Zealand naturopath, Eric Bakker.
Author of Candida Crusher and formulator of the Canxida range of supplements. Thanks for
checking out my video. Question here by Pasqual from Quebec, Canada. Pasqual’s asking me,
“Eric, does Candida cause acne rosacea?” Pasqual, there is definitely a link between Candida
and acne rosacea. That’s been proven now. I’ve looked at many different kinds of studies
from PubMed, InBase, and CINAHL, and I’ve had a really good look through different databases
online after I got your email. Also, in Singapore, there is a skin clinic there where they’ve
found a very clear-cut link between the gut microbiota to cleaning up the gut with patients
and the skin. I’ve noticed this in my clinic now for probably over 20 years. I’ve treated
over a thousand cases of psoriasis successfully, but I also treat a lot of acne rosacea and
many other different kinds of skin conditions. There is a huge link between the gut and the
skin. A very interesting case I recently had was
a male patient from Portugal, a 38-year-old male with seriously bad acne rosacea. Basically,
I didn’t even look at the skin. I just treated the gut and we had an outstanding result.
We found that this guy had incredible amounts of Candida albicans, Candida glabrata, and
also Blastocystis hominis. And once we cleared up these things and we found that with pre
and post stool testing, we had an incredibly high success rate with eradication, the skin
entirely cleared up. He’s a very lovely man and now he excitedly Skyped me recently. He
said, “I’ve now got a girlfriend. I’ve got a Swedish girlfriend. I’m so excited.” I don’t
know if you’ve seen how bad acne rosacea can get. When you’ve got bad acne rosacea, you’ve
got no self-confidence. For this guy after 10 or 15 years to get his skin finally cleared
up, his confidence was like in overdrive and he was so excited to tell me all about his
girlfriend. How did this association occur? Well, in Singapore
at the Dermoclinic what they found out was that Candida could actually produce different
kinds of chemicals that upregulate or stimulate the production of inflammatory cytokines.
So what that means in normal English is Candida can stir the hell out of the immune system
and the immune system, in turn, then can create chemicals that can create dilation of the
skin, the blood vessels, flushing, redness, irritation, infections, all kinds of things
can occur. There is certainly a link there. If anyone is watching this who has got acne
rosacea, my strong advice for you is (A) improve the upper digestion because many people with
acne rosacea have got hypochlorhydria or underactive stomach, (B) ensure that the pancreas is working
properly and it will work better when the stomach is working better, (C) make sure that
you’ve cleared up food allergies or food intolerances. Sometimes it’s worthwhile doing an ELISA test,
so an IgG, IgE food allergy test. The best one, I think, is from US Biotech in Seattle.
It’s s serum test, (D) if you’ve got a really bad problem like my patient in Portugal, get
a proper stool test done, a comprehensive one to assess what kind of bugs you’ve got
in the gut. So then, we can go about cleaning up the gut and (E) kick back and enjoy life.
Because if you do all of those things properly, there is a big chance we can clear up the
acne rosacea profoundly and you can lead a relatively normal life with a good amount
of self-esteem. I hope that answers your question, Pasqual.
In my opinion, there is a massive link between acne rosacea and a yeast infection. Don’t
forget, while I’ve got your attention, to please subscribe to my channel. Check out
my 1,000+ articles at yeastinfection.org and make sure you do my quiz. I’ve got the world’s
best online quiz. I’ve also got a very nice supplement for people with acne rosacea. It’s
called Canxida Restore. It’s a great probiotic enzyme formula. Be sure to take my antifungal
Canxida Remove and Canxida Restore. These two products are going to help you hugely
with acne rosacea, especially if you’ve done some stool testing and been checked out and
checked positive to have bugs. I hope that answers your question. Thanks
for tuning in.

Thank you so so much for doing these videos. I suffer a lot from indigestion and bloating and a mild perioral dermatitis around my mouth. I'm only one week in with my candida diet and I can already feel that my stomach has a lot less bloating. However, my dermatitis seems to be getting worse. Is it because my body is detoxing? Thanks in advance!

Definitely true, I'm only at day 13 of the candida detox and the many comedons on my face are gone. Also, I had psoriasis behind my neck and its now light pink and healing. It's unbelievable!

I have acne on my inner cheeks below my eyes and it stops right after my cheek bone, so I have none along my jaw. I also have acne on my chin and many many tiny bumps on my forehead, and I have so many symptoms of a yeast overgrowth. I used to eat lots of bread and sweets and have tried many things to make my skin clear and nothing works at ALL. Do you think it is caused by yeast?

I've had these red dots/spots appear under my skin but visible 9 months ago after extreme facial flushing and today I'm noticing they're beginning to surface the skin. There's small patches on both cheeks. What can it be and is it a good thing that they're starting to come to the surface? Thank you!❤

Hi Eric, thank you so much for all your great videos… I stumbled onto them because I have a bad vaginal thrush at the moment and was looking for some natural relief tips. For many years I have also been suffering from Rosacea and it makes so much sense that there is a connection. I lost trust in the pharmaceutical industry a long time ago and therefore threw the prescribed antibiotics in the bin.
I just bought your book today and am looking forward to get more information. Thank you for restoring my faith that there are still people who actually care ☺

Hai Eric, im from Malaysia . First of all, I started to get interest in Candida when I have acne . I started to get acne when i was 14 years old until now. But when I was in 17 years old, I started to find out the reasons why i get acne more deeply . I started to know that acne may or it is cause by your gut. Slowly, I started to learn about allergies , intolerance, leaky gut, elimination diet until i stop at here which is candida problem. Sincerely , I dont know if my acne may link with the candida but i do have some white things on my tongue but it is not too obvious. I dont have bloating i guess because whenever i eat my my stomach feel like im already full. When i eliminate dairy and wheat, my skin started to clear but not fully clear. When I look at your MEVY diet, V stand for vegetables and some vegetables that can include is okra . But when I look at the elimination diet pla, all sort of nightshade plant should be avoid . Same goes to Yoghurt too . So i quite confused , should I stick to your diet plan or elimination diet plan ? I really hope any reply from you soon . Acne is the one who leads me to learn about my body but the more I dive the more I get confused and sometimes too many obstacles .

Hi there Eric. I love all of your videos. This kind of straight talking is what I need. Here's my issue, I got rosacea when I was 26. Just the redness. Occasional pimple. But ate crap. Took so many antibiotics in my life thanks to the idiots docs. I didn't know what I know now. I Drank alcohol. Rarely drank water. Loved bread. Fast forward 10 years, I fell pregnant. I ate bread and crisps and carbs by the tonne and gulped down antacids by the truck load to get rid of the horrendous acid reflux. I now know I didn't have enough acid!! Suddenly I broke out in spots and they've never left me in two years. Worse when I eat sugar and fruit. Especially fruit. And ice cream. So I quit dairy, eat very little sugar and quit fruit. And a lot of gluten products I give a miss to now. And i only eat small amounts of chicken. No other meat. I eat so healthy now. Best I've ever eaten. Lots of salads, nuts, sweet potato, brown rice, veg. I have ACV. Probiotics. Digestive enzymes and even take a capsule of HCI with pepsin daily. I did the spit test. It sank. I did the barcarb of soda test. Tiny little belch. Hardly a belch. Still bad skin, always had bloating and constipation but slim, I've been lucky/genetics helps. I have researched for two years. I think I have candida over growth. What do you think about this? Your help would be HUGELY appreciated as I really need it. No docs or derms want to know, only give anti-b's!!! I'm loving you and your videos! Already taking tips! Love Charlotte x

I should add, my tongue has a thick yellow coating. I've had yeast infections. I'm anemic. Ive had recent stool tests (faecal calprotectin tpp and faeces routine culture) and no parasites were detected but slight raised inflammation markers were found in my bowel which docs are keeping an eye on. I think it is all to do with a suspected yeast fungus over growth. Would love to hear what you think Eric. Best wishes Charlotte
