Best Testing For Candida & Parasitic Overgrowth | Lab and at-home tests

November 9, 2019

Hey everyone, Welcome back to my channel! I have another video for you today. Today i’m going to be talking about the best tests to get to determine if you have candida and parasitic overgrowth. Because I get so many questions about what testing you should do. I want to clarify a couple things. First of all, in terms of testing, I know a lot of clients and followers who have gotten testing for candida and parasites and it has come back negative and they then believe they do not have the overgrowth and they don’t do any type of cleansing and therefor can’t heal. I do want to put a disclaimer before we even get into the video. Alot of times tests will come back negative, and I will explain why in a bit, but it does not mean you don’t have overgrowth. And I do believe that most the population does have candida and parasitic overgrowth just due to the insane amount of toxin exposure that we have, chronic stress, unhealthy diets, etc. It is almost impossible to not have some kind of gut damage and bacterial overgrowth in the world we live in. So right off the bat, it’s good to assume you have it and just do the cleanse and it won’t do any harm. S if you don’t have it that’s great, but if you do then you will get better. I always recommend starting with that. In terms of the tests that you can get done, there are a couple, and I will save my favorite for last. The first is a comprehensive stool analysis test and you can do this for candida and parasites at a Naturopath or Regular doctor’s office. they look at bacteria in the small and large intestine. These are good, but a lot of times they will come back negative. The reason for that is candida and parasites can enter the bloodstream and travel in the blood and maybe specifically in the colon there isn’t so much of an overgrowth and there is more in your actual blood and therefor the results won’t be as accurate if you’re doing just a stool analysis. Also, parasites and candida are very smart. They burrow into your gut lining and they hold on pretty tight. So a lot of times too, you’re only getting the dead worms or parasites or candida, or not much at all in your stool and they will test and see that there is not much and it will come back negative, but again, you really do have overgrowth and they are just very smart and hiding out in your colon. So that is another thing to consider. So stool analysis can get done and sometimes they are great and give you good results and other times they will be negative but ti doesn’t necessarily mean that they are actually negative. The second thing you can do is a blood test. they usually come out negative. When people tell me they had a blood test for candida, I look at it but don’t acknowledge it as much and here is why. First of all, if you go to your doctor you can ask for an IgG, IgA, IgM and candida antibody test or panel. Sometimes people will come back with a positive, but most the time it is negative. Most the clients i work with or most the followers I have suppressed immune systems. Either from autoimmune or from chronic toxin exposure or chronic stress. Most of our immune systems are suppressed which means that our immune system is not even going to recognize candida or parasites in our blood and it’s not going to be creating antibodies for these because it is so weakened and suppressed. So when we do the antibody testing, they are going to say “No, you have low antibody levels and don’t have candida overgrowth”. However that is not what that means. It most likely means you DO have candida and your immune system is just not picking up on it because it is so weakened, and therefor, not producing any antibodies for it, if that makes sense? So that is just something to keep in mind as well. Alot of times, if you have fungal issues like nail or toe fungus, any types of warts, infections, etc that means you have major fungal overgrowth. If these are allowed to happen in the body and you are getting fungus and infections and that kind of stuff, it’s proof that your immune system is weakened because it is not fighting these… it is not even picking up. It let the candida or the fungus grow to the point where it actually causes issues for you because your immune system is so suppressed. I hope that makes sense and I hope I didn’t complicate it. In terms of testing, what can you do and what is the most effective? In my opinion, it is symptom testing. Go off your symptoms. There is a long list of symptoms to look out for in terms of candida and parasitic overgrowth. I have an article on my Holistic Spring website, i’ll leave it in the description under the learn tab on my website, you’ll see a candida article and i really explain all the symptoms there, but just a couple to touch on here… any skin issues, any type of congestion (sinus, asthma, bronchitis), fatigue, low libido, PMS, PCOS, fibroids, cysts, joint pains, headaches, the list goes on… but mainly skin issues as well, are all signs of bacterial imbalance or dysbiosis and candida and parasitic overgrowth. My thing that I like to do is go off your symptoms. If you have headaches, poor digestion, do you have bloating and gas, if you say yes to even just 1 of these, do a candida cleanse. Usually you’ll feel a lot better after and there is proof that you did have the imbalance. and if you do the cleanse and you truly don’t have any bacterial imbalance, it is not going to harm you especially if you do the cleanse correctly and then at least you know you’ve covered your bases. So I find that, for most people, symptom testing is truly the most accurate. Go off the symptoms you have and how you’re feeling do the cleanse and compare after the cleanse is done. If you did it correctly. A lot of times people won’t do the cleanse correctly and don’t get better and they think they don’t have overgrowth, When in fact they did, and they just didn’t go about it the right way. If you’re not sure how to go about it, do research, watch a bunch of my videos, or even reach out to me for guidance and I would love to work 1-on-1 with you to help you through the cleanse. Most people do have it, because chronic stress suppresses the immune system which means bacteria is able to overgrow unchecked” and roam free in the body. We eat a lot of sugar which further feeds it. We are exposed to a lot of mold and toxins which again further causes inflammation and that overgrowth. We have poor digestion and stressed out stomachs which means we consume parasites which are everywhere and impossible to avoid, and they are not dying in our stomach acid and they are surviving and reaching out intestines and are able to multiply. You don’t have to be just eating meat to get paarsites. They come from everywhere! All of this bacteria in our body can overgrow and “roam free” because our immune system is not stopping them. Most people have overgrowth and it’s just a matter of when you’re going to address it. I really hope you enjoyed this video You can definitely get testing done and see what your results come back at. Overall, I think symptoms are the best way to go! I really hope you enjoyed! thank you so much for taking the time to watch this video! I love you all and I’ll see you in my next one. Bye!

Hi Marla, could you please link me to the cleansing video that's give you directions from the very beginning of the cleanse? If that makes sense, I wouldn't know where to start looking. Thank you. X

Ahaha. The face people give me when I tell them they're full of Parasites. ?

People allllways need "Proof." Cause apparently feeling like death, isn't proof enough. I get so frustrated when people are like "Well I got tested, so it can't be that." ?โ€โ™€๏ธ

It's amazing to me, that 90% of the population doesn't realize that bloating, acne, and stomach upsets ISN'T normal.

I'm thankful for my intermediate family, who listened to me with an opened mind about my health journey. But ya kinda can't deny pictures of worms in your poo. ? No lab test needed. Lol. I've gotten them all to start cleansing ?

Hi Marla, I've been fighting candida overgrowth since 4 months now, taking antifungals and following the candida diet religiously, (sorry I'm going to be a little bit graphic) in the spit test I did in the beginning it was full of "legs" looking solid and heavy, now i barely see those legs, but the water becomes kinda cloudy, with tiny legs though that disappear quickly, does this mean I'm healing from the candida overgrowth ?

Does candida cleanse help if you have diabetes type 1? I think diabetics suffer from candida overgrowth inevitably, but I am not sure if we can treat it the same way as normal people. Because even if you avoid high carb foods, your blood sugar still may go high and candida overgrows using this sugar excess.

Hello! ? I am wondering if I could please get your option on which to treat first candida or leaky gut. Should you treat both or does one treat both of them together? I see Dr. Axe has supplement for each. Also when do you know if you have cleanse and detox and all of those kind of things when do you know if you have overdone it? Let me know your thoughts . One last one what is the major difference between leaky gut and candida? How can you tell if you have both or one or the other.

I want to do a candida cleanse but too afraid to do it. I don't want to upset my gut even more than it is now. What should I do?

You are amazing in what you do. Thank you so much for the information. I often times research symptoms on Google, and I get no where. Because it basically tells me I'm going to die. But thank you so much, I really want to get my husband on board to do a Candida Cleanse together ! ๐Ÿ™‚

My doctor is going to send me for an ultrasound scan to investigate the 'movement' in my intestines. Would this show if I have a worm inside?
