The late Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez: So to answer
your original question, the three components: individualized diet, individualized supplements,
large doses of pancreatic enzymes. The third component is detoxification, which is often
the component of the therapy that elicits the most grins and mockery from
conventional doctors. But it’s really very simple. When Kelly was treating himself he
was taking the pancreatic enzymes and tumors were breaking down and that’s when he got
really sick; almost life threateningly sick. First, they thought the enzymes weren’t
working anymore but then he realized the tumors are shrinking. I’m getting sick. And then he realized I’m reacting to the tumor waste.
And indeed conventional oncologists know today in 2014 that nothing is more toxic to the
human than dead cancer. In fact, chemotherapy, though it doesn’t work for most cancers,
does work for some like Hodgkin’s and certain leukemias. And in a Hodgkin’s patient, if
you break a tumor down too fast with chemo you’ll kill the patient from the dead tumor.
And they call it tumor lysis syndrome. It’s recognized in the textbooks, all my textbooks,
conventional textbooks, talk about it. Well, Kelly recognized that back in 1963 when he
was trying to get over his own cancer. And he started going into the literature as he
always did. He was a great scholar. He would go into the literature trying to find some
technique that would help his liver and kidney work better. The liver and the kidney are
the body’s main detoxification organs. That’s for environmental chemicals, our own metabolic
waste, the dead cancer process – neutralize and prepare for excretion. And he opens up the Merck manual and lo and
behold, there are coffee enemas. You know, the interesting thing or the sad thing is,
the ironic thing, Kelly was brutalized in the media for his use of coffee enemas and
we get attacked about it today too. But they come right out of the conventional medical
literature. He didn’t learn about it from alien space beings, you know, injected into
his brain through some mystic psychic experience. He didn’t learn about them through some
alternative throw away journals or something else. He learned about them from the conventional
medical textbooks. The Merck manual is a compendium of conventional therapies. And
they were in the Merck manual. Coffee enemas were in the Merck manual right up until the
1970s. And when I was doing my investigation of Kelly, the trained investigative reporter
that I was, I called up the editor of the Merck manual then and had a talk with him.
And he said the only reason they were taken out is we get kind of folksy and we had all
this high tech stuff to use. And he had files on coffee enemas, which he sent me. And dozens
of studies from the 20s and the 1930s and 40s at major institutions where they’re
using coffee enemas for a variety of things — arthritis, mental illness. I have a study from the New
England Journal of Medicine, the preeminent medical journal in the US, 1932 from
Harvard Medical School, a group of research psychiatrists successfully treated what we
today call bipolar illness, in those days they called it manic-depressive, with enemas. And their hypothesis was that there were toxins
from the intestinal track that were polluting the mind and that’s what was causing the
mental illness. And they put these people on enemas and colonics and they got well and
they got them off medication and out of the hospital. It was in the New England Journal.
I have a copy, 1932. I have a study from Uruguay; just because its Uruguay doesn’t mean they
weren’t serious scientists. And people downplay it if it’s not from Boston. It was
a good study. Patients with septic shock. In those days septic shock occurs because gram negative bacteria produce a polysaccharide – kind of a carbohydrate that’s toxic to the
human and people die from that. The death rate today is still in the range of 40 to
50 percent with septic shock. In those days, it was like 90
percent. Well, these people in Uruguay at an intensive care, what we would call an intensive
care unit today, had learned about coffee enemas from the conventional medical world,
started treating their patients with coffee enemas and had great success. We published
it in a peer review journal. We have a translation that was originally published in Spanish.
Almost like 90 percent reversal with septic shock. That should have changed the way hospitalists
treat septic shock all over the world. It was ignored because it was folksy. It wasn’t
high tech, even then in 1941–42. So we have dozens of articles. Kelly collected them,
dozens of articles from the mainstream, peer reviewed medical literature and discussing
the use of enemas, coffee enemas, other types of colonics, and the successful treatment
of all kinds of illnesses. So he incorporated them into his practice and it helped and he
added other things like liver flushes and colon cleanses and juice fasts and skin brushing
which is an all naturopathic technique to get them the lymphatics to work better, kidney
flushes, all kinds of techniques that we still use today.
Greetings! Eric Bakker, naturopath from New Zealand. Thanks for tuning in. I’m the author of a book called Candida Crusher
and I’m the formulator of a range of products for treating people with all kinds of gut
problems called CanXida. Thanks for tuning in. We’re going to talk about cortisol today and
its importance. I just found an interesting article in a local
newspaper about why cortisol is so important. I regularly get asked by people through Facebook,
YouTube and different other areas of the internet why cortisol is so important. Why the adrenal function has any bearing in
getting people to overcome a Candida yeast infection or whether it be a parasite problem
or a gut problem in general or many other kinds of immune dysfunctions that people get. Cortisol is an exceedingly important hormone
that the adrenal glands make. The adrenals make adrenaline and cortisol,
two main stress hormones. Adrenaline is more important in the “alarm
phase” or the early stages of stress. It’s driven up to a very high demand by people
who put incredible urgency and pressure on themselves these days. Today, we tend to push the adrenaline up artificially
also by caffeine, by lots of coffee and tea that we drink. Cortisol tends to be more the delayed response
for stress and tends to have more of an effect in the adaptation and exhaustion phases. Even much more so than the adrenaline. Traditionally, when you look at stress in
our lives as humans, we used to suffer from famines, wars, floods and things like that. Really bad a long time ago. We still do today, but not to the extent that
we did. Cortisol was an important hormone to maintain
the integrity of the body with long term periods of stress. Many of you people watching this video right
now will have long term periods of stress. Maybe you’re not in a famine or a flood. Maybe you’re not at war, although we have
got wars in many countries around the world today. There is no arguing that. The big problem with cortisol today is people
who’ve got very big mortgages or long term low grade relationship stress or they’ve got
work stress or some kind of stress that they’re living under. Some constraint. A big link between cortisol here particularly
is cortisol in its higher doses is going to help slow the metabolic rate down because
it’s thinking that you’re going to be stressed long term, so it’s going to preserve the body. It’s going to preserve the fat stores. This is one reason why people get that kind
of spare tire as they tend to get more stressed out. As stress continues on and on, the cortisol
slowly drops off and this basically takes the power away from your immune system because
the white cells can’t work effectively anymore with low cortisol. This is what maintains a yeast infection on
and on for some people. Sometimes for years. Vaginal, jock itch, skin problem, or a gut
dysfunction. So there’s a massive link between long term
low grade stress, low cortisol, and poor immune function. Particularly, as I mentioned in the initial
stages with high stress with high adrenaline and high cortisol until it hasn’t been quite
depleted yet, the person’s going to get a very powerful immune suppressing effect, which
makes them more prone to acute infectious disease. They won’t necessarily feel the pain so much,
but they may get a lot of weight loss in the initial few years. As that continues on, the fatigue occurs more,
the immune dysfunction occurs more, the long term yeast infections occur more, and they’re
very hard to shift. You can read all about it in my book, Candida
Crusher, or you can check it out on the other videos I’ve made regarding adrenal fatigue,
cortisol, and Candida yeast infections. Thanks for tuning into this video. Click on the link if you haven’t got my report
and don’t forget to subscribe. Thank you.
Greetings! Eric Bakker, naturopath from New Zealand. Thanks for checking out this video. We’re going to talk about systemic Candida,
or invasive Candida. Many people that consult me believe they’ve
actually got systemic Candida. “I’ve got Candida throughout my body! It’s everywhere. It’s in my blood! It’s in my brain! It’s in my joints! It’s in my fingers! It’s in my penis! It’s in my vagina! It’s everywhere. I’m loaded with Candida! What am I going to do? Help me.” Well, you haven’t got systemic Candida, ok? Please don’t get the word systemic or invasive
Candida confused with a yeast infection. There’s a huge difference. Candida as we’ve mentioned many times before
can live quite normally in the gut, in the digestive system, or on the skin, and it does
with many people. It cohabits with many different types of bacteria. And, as we mentioned in previous videos, if
the scales are tipped, if there’s a big imbalance for one of many reasons, you can get a yeast
infection. However, an invasive or systemic yeast infection
is not that easy to get. Even though it accounts for about 40,000 to
50,000 people getting admitted to hospital each year in the U.S. alone, it’s a serious
blood borne infection and one of the leading blood borne infections in many western countries. It’s generally found in seriously immunocompromised
people. Chances are if you’re looking at this video
right now on your laptop, you haven’t got systemic Candida. Because you wouldn’t be looking at this computer. You would probably be in a hospital bed. This is a serious infection that often requires
lengthy hospital stays, very expensive long term treatment and often very poor patient
outcomes. The type of people that are more prone to
getting systemic yeast infection are HIV/AIDS people. Do you have AIDS/HIV? Probably not. You may have. And if you do have you are at a higher risk
of getting a systemic infection. A person with quite bad diabetes may get it. A person who has an organ transplant or a
patient with cancer on very powerful chemotherapy drugs or immunosuppressive drugs. A person who’s had major abdominal surgery. A person who’s had a central line put in their
chest or neck, one of these central catheters to take drugs. These are people that are at a high risk for
systemic Candida, or we call it Candidemia. So, it is a big problem, but chances are you
won’t be having this problem. I really don’t think you have got it. Chances are that you’ll have it in the gut
or on the skin. If you’ve got it in the gut and because the
gut interfaces with the body, you can feel pretty crappy all throughout the body, but
it doesn’t mean to say you’ve got a blood borne yeast infection. The major signs and symptoms of that are a
serious fever and being very sick to the point where you need hospitalization. Then it will be picked up in the bloodstream. This is why doctors laugh at a lot of people
who say, “You haven’t got Candida, that’s crazy. Only AIDS people get Candida.” Doctors are confused as well, because they
believe that it’s not possible for a person to suffer the consequences of a gut-borne
yeast infection systemically. So now you can see patients get confused. They think they’ve got a systemic yeast infection. Doctors get confused, because they only know
of a systemic yeast infection, and don’t believe that people can’t get it in their gut and
feel it systemically. Are you confused? Well I’m not, because I’ve been doing this
now for nearly 30 years, and I see lots of cases like this. Please try and understand: chances of you
having a systemic yeast infection are next to nil. Thanks for tuning in.
Hello and welcome to Organic Edible Garden. As the moon is now in the last phase it’s a good time for garden maintenance. This week we’re going to look at slug and snail control and it’s at this time of year before the buds open up we want to hang our codling moth traps in the tree. One of the easiest and best ways of controlling slugs is going out at night-time with a torch. You can pick them off the plants as you see them, put them in a jar and dispose of them in the morning. Another really good way to control slugs and snails in your garden is with coffee grounds. The slugs and snails have issues crossing the coffee grounds and at the same time the coffee grounds are a good form of carbon for your garden. Just two things to remember about coffee grounds: 1. Don’t put them too thick because they can bake and they can repel water, and secondly, they can be quite acidic so a handful of lime over the top is also a good option. Another really way of controlling slugs and snails in your garden is with a yeast trap. You can also use beer but I think it’s a waste and this is a cheaper option. It’s a really simple recipe of mixing a teaspoon of yeast, a teaspoon of white sugar and some warm water. Give it a good stir until the yeast and sugar dissolve. The yeast and sugar have now reacted to the warm water and are bubbling nicely. We’re going to put the first recycled container with the mixture into the soil at ground level. We’re going to fill in around it so the slugs and snails can get easily into it. You can also use a saucer which is nice and shallow and push that in the ground and slugs and snails can walk into that as well. Both of these have the disadvantage of being diluted by the rain. So you can buy a purpose-built trap that fits beer or the yeast mixture, has a lid to stop the rain and animals drinking it and can still be place in the ground at the same level. We’re back-filling it and leaving a space so the slugs and snails can still go into the container. And another traditional way of catching slugs and snails and an organic way is with a large pot turned upside down. We stuff it full of newspapers which gives a place for the slugs and snails to hide. We then turn the pot upside down and give them a place where they can crawl under. During the day the slugs and snails will go into the pot to hide from the midday sun. At this time you can lift it up, find them and dispose of them. By using one or a variety of these methods you’ll gradually break the cycle and eventually rid your garden of slugs and snails. Before bud burst on your apple and pear trees it’s good to make some codling traps. These traps are good because they trap both the male and female moth, unlike the pheromone traps which only trap the male. They take a few simple ingredients and a plastic bottle. In this case we’ve got molasses, we’ve got some cloudy ammonia, some cider vinegar and a bit of dishwashing liquid. And then what we’re going to do with a pair of scissors, we’re going to cut two holes the size of a golf ball on either side just under the lid. The reason we do this is it’s big enough for the moths to fly in and go down to the mixture we’re making or get stuck and they’ll drown. We’re making a second one because with the size of the tree it’s probably best with two traps. Now we’re going to make the mixture. So this is the fifth cup of water. The next thing we’re going to add is some molasses. It’s thick and goopy so it’s not the easiest thing to pour. If there’s too much it’s not a problem either. Then a good cup of cider vinegar. A few drops of dishwashing liquid which makes things stick. And finally a little bit of ammonia, just to release the smell easier. Then you stir it up. We take the lids off the milk bottles and we fill them about quarter-full. And now the traps are ready to be hung in the tree. We use a soft twine rather than a hard twine like this. It does less damage to the branches. The next thing we do is tie it to the tree. It’s best to choose two strong branches and tie a piece of string from either side. This stops it rocking in the wind. You can take them down during the growing season to check the progress with the codling moths. And if they do evaporate, adding a bit more water or a bit more mixture is a good idea.
I feel like I say this all the time and in a lot of my videos and if you guys are not listening to this what are you doing?! Hello my beauties! before I feel like I always need to cover up I felt totally naked, exposed if I have like nothing on my face but at least now I’m confident enough to actually walk out and not feel intimidated or feel self-conscious so not only is my concern with large pores and at the ice picks scarring I’m also noticing like the lost of elasticity and density in my skin as you age because that’s normal because your skin’s losing collagen so today I’m going to basically address some tips and tricks on how to improve your skin texture but also if you haven’t already subscribed don’t be shy, join the family go click that subscribe button down below okay number one is exfoliation it doesn’t matter if you have dry skin oily skin combination skin everyone needs to exfoliate so when it comes to improving skin texture just a normal regular scrub isn’t going to be enough there are actually two different types of exfoliations that you could use there is the chemical and there’s also the physical now chemical ones are one that contains AHAs or BHAs, glycolic anything with abrasive or active ingredients that’s going to eat away at all the dead skin cells and just like you plat onto your skin and you just leave it there so that’s the one type of scrub that you should be using at least two or three times a week if not every night I used to use it every night when I’m actually having breakouts because I feel like I need to remove that excess sebum now there’s also the physical type of scrubs which scrubs that have granules that you can feel the grittiness of it so ones that contains like sea salt or sugar scrubs or any types of microbeads that will actually help you physically remove the dead skin cells so you’re scrubbing your face and you feel it they’re also more natural so it’s not a chemical it’s a little bit more gentle but sometimes it can also be a little bit more harsh because you don’t know how the granules are sized so sometimes they could be quite sharp sometimes they can be quite mild I personally use both types of scrubs so I use a physical one normally like two or three times a week and then I’ll also use the chemical ones also 2-3 times a week because I want to make sure that I want to smooth out my skin but also remove the dead skin cells pretty much every day of your life your skin is falling off your face and some of them gets attached and you need to kind of physically remove it because if you don’t, it just stays there and it clogs the pores and whatever skins underneath is not coming out so therefore you need to like actually physically remove that otherwise that’s how you get congested skin and that’s how you get acne number two treatments now treatment is the one that you’ll see the most results and there are actually different types of treatments you can get there are ones that’s been more passive where you can use like products to treat your skin whether it’s using a stronger version of the AHAs or the BHAs a lot of times you might get like a glycolic serum or even like a retinol things that will actually also remove layers of the skin and pushing or accelerating the 28 days skin renewal system because trying to push it and make your skin renew faster so I normally like to just use a retinol every once a week if not twice a week but when you wear retinols you have to wear a sunscreen during the day otherwise you’re just damaging your skin all together then there is the aggressive type where I guess more active type where you actually go to a salon and get lasers or get skin needling where actually basically removes layers of your skin that you normally couldn’t do with products and of course if your skin needs it and you need to have something a bit more excessive then you should go for it but I always suggest to try the safest and most you know natural option first and if that doesn’t work then we can always go to the professional and more intense versions you want to get a chance I like to go to the salon and get a micro dermabrasion and that this removes excess lay of the skin and I notice in the areas where you have ice pick scarring when you go get a treatment it you can visibly see how it flattens out the scarring and how your skin just looks brighter if you have sensitive skin those things are going to make you feel raw and tender and maybe it’s not for you so you need to find the most safest and most I guess natural option that you can find but those are definitely treatments that where you will see the most results number three is moisturize this is so so important especially when it comes to skin texture if you have oily skin if you had acne you’re using a ton of products that’s drying out your skin so you need to put moisture back into your skin our body is made up of 70% of water so if you stripping all of the nutrients and the water away then you need to put it all back otherwise your body doesn’t function properly it doesn’t like detox as well it doesn’t provide oxygen to your body as well lucky for you I have done two videos about what types of serums and moisturizers that you should be using for your skin types if you haven’t already watched that pause this video, go find out what you need to look for in a moisturizer in a serum and then come back it’s okay I’ll wait for you you can hit the pause button right now I’ll wait. Okay so now that you’re back you know exactly what you need to be looking for you know exactly what you should be buying first thing first hyaluronic acid is definitely number one because that’s the actual acid that’s in our skin naturally so you’re just putting back into our skin look for that in a serum and look for that in a moisturizer hydrate, hydrate, hydrate and of course this goes without saying you have to drink water as well because not only are you putting it topically you also need to rehydrate yourself from within I feel like I say this all the time and like a lot of my videos and if you guys are not listening to this what are you doing?! you have to drink water! once your skin’s removed of all of those strip back up from all those treatments and scrub it’s like crying for nutrients so that’s where you can start using products that help to plump the skin, fill in the holes or flatten out the scarring or bring back collagen or density into the skin so you can moisturize you can hydrate you can lift you can firm that’s where I put most of my treatment products so I’ll be like okay my skin needs collagen my skin needs vitamin C my skin needs vitamin A just pop it all on and your skin will drink it up and if you don’t exfoliate if you don’t treat your skin is not going to absorb the moisturizer either so it’s kind of like a full circle you need to do every single step without step one, step three doesn’t work without step three, step one is a waste of time without step two you won’t get the results in step four so it like everything needs to all work together together together together together last but not least is step four and which is conceal now this is the last step because I feel like this is just a temporary fix make up, okay is a very temporary but effective fix but it’s not going to give you the permanent results so the skin care is where you’re going to fix the actual problem makeup is going to help and assist and boost that result if you want to improve the texture of the skin with makeup, the very first thing is finding a really good primer a primer is something that you put on your skin first after moisturizer and before foundation that is going to fill in all of the little ice pick scarring or the holes on your face and it’s gonna smooth everything out it’s gonna create a little I guess a barrier but also like a light film on your face that is going to like smooth out any texture wrinkles, holes, bumps whatever it is that you have your skin is going to immediately appear a lot more finer so the primer it should be silicon based because silicon helps to smooth out the skin it also helps to allow foundation stay on longer it’s gonna fill in all the pores and then once you put the foundation on you should always use a sponge because the sponge is going to lightly pat the foundation and spread it without actually brushing it especially if you have dry skin and you brushing foundation on your face you’ll be brushing the dead skin cells or the flaky skin all over your face and that’s not going to look pretty so you need to use a sponge and just like dampen it and just pat it on your skin to make sure all the skin cells or all the skin is going to sit flat on your face and not sticking out with the foundation I suggest only using one thin layer because usually people think that the more you put on the more is gonna conceal but actually it’s gonna make your skin texture look more heavy and cakey so just go with a very light foundation I know you’re still going to see spots but that’s what concealer is for so you go back in with a concealer and then you just spot conceal any areas that you feel like you need to now once you’ve done that um the last step is using a HD micronized powder now this one is going to not only set everything so all that hard work that you just put into like smoothing out your complexion it’s also going to give you that really beautiful HD look which is like flawless it’s to make it look smooth it’s gonna make you look like a baby’s butt you know and then with that one you also need to apply it with the powder puff so not a brush because brush sometimes you can actually flick away or lift up you know any hairs on the skin if you have like baby hairs on your skin especially like a peach fuzz then the brush is gonna get caught on so you just make sure you pat it on with the powder puff and you’re just going to get that really flawless look I know that a lot of you guys would be suffering from like not only acne breakouts where there are special types of flesh-colored pimples that actually are not pimples they’re actually a fungal infection which sounds really disgusting but a lot of people get it and they don’t understand why because it’s not acne, it’s not pimple it’s like why is this happening to me and it’s actually a fungal infection which is caused by your diet so your skin and your body and your hormones kind of played a huge part in like you know your life right so sometimes you might have perfect skin because you’re going through great time in your life, your hormones are in check you having great diet, you’re sleeping well and then sometimes just goes everywhere and you’re just breaking out for no reason first thing to do is check what you’re eating a lot of time it’s affected by yeast now with the flesh-colored bumps the actual way to heal is using a anti-dandruff shampoo called “Nizoral” on your skin as a mask or a spot treatment I know it sounds really weird but that’s not anything that works or you can use aloe vera like fresh aloe vera and all over your face every day for about a week maybe you’ll see a drastic change in your skin but that’s the way to basically calm down the acne before you can go on to improving the texture basically four easy step exfoliate, treat, moisturize and conceal those are four simple tips on how to achieve the best texture for your skin and I hope you guys had a wonderful week thank you guys for watching if you have any questions leave your comments down below and I will see you in my next video, bye!
Greetings there. It’s New Zealand naturopath,
Eric Bakker. I’m author of Candida Crusher and I’m also the formulator of the Canxida
range of dietary supplements. Thanks for checking out my video. I’m going to do another video
today for one of my subscribers. This is a lady called Donna Collins. Donna is from Canada.
Donna’s husband had a very successful result with the Candida Crusher program. Donna is
asking me to do a video on die-off, so she’s saying “Eric, can you do a video all about
die-off? Die-off 101. What are the signs and symptoms? Can you clear up the confusion for
the subscribers about die-off and what it really is and separate fact from fiction?”
Let’s talk a bit about die-off, Donna, and explain to you a bit about what it is, so
it’s going to be a benefit to the subscribers out there.
I’ve just had a look at different blog sites on die-off on many different sites. There
is a huge amount of confusion with die-off. Just like there is a lot of confusion when
it comes to food allergies and food intolerances, which are completely different things. Lots
of people get confused when it comes to understanding the terminology die-off and they’re very quick
to jump onboard. I get lots of emails and have many patients telling me, “Oh, I had
terrible die-off. I had a bit of pizza and I had die-off. I took supplement xyz. I had
immediate die-off. I changed my diet. I started to eat more eggs. I got die-off. I took a
probiotic. I had die-off. I went to the museum. I had die-off. I changed my job. I had die-off.”
I’m hearing this die-off crap all the time. People are telling me all the time they’re
getting die-off. I think people are getting confused. They don’t really understand what
die-off is and how it really occurs and how it’s not that common to get classic die-off.
So let’s just explain a bit about die-off. I made a few notes here. Went to Wikipedia.
Did a bit of research actually on the guy who really brought this whole concept to light
back in the 1870s. A guy called Carl Herxheimer. Carl Herxheimer and Adolph Jarisch were two
friends. They knew each other quite well. Both of these guys were dermatologists or
skin specialists. Unfortunately, Carl passed away in a concentration camp. He got placed
in a concentration camp when he was 81 years old because he was Jewish, which is really
unfortunate and passed away at 81 years of age. These guys basically treated a lot of
skin problems. They’re quite well known for treating syphilis,
which is a venereal disease that was very common in those days, more so than today.
Syphilis is quite well known to have a lot different kind of skin problems, so these
guys would commonly use mercury. Would you believe mercury? Mercury was a medicine back
in those days. They would give mercury to people with particularly secondary syphilis
and it had a marvelous effect on the skin, but almost immediately the patient would suffer
from terrible side effects. The underlying bug or spirochete that people with syphilis
have was killed quite quickly with mercury, and it created horrific side effects with
these people. So they would get fever, chills. I’ve got a list down here of different problems
that they would experience. Fever, chills, muscular aches, skin rashes, flushing, tachycardia,
so fast heartbeat, headaches. They would get very sick, extremely sick. This is what a
typical Herxheimer reaction is, is getting hot and cold, fever, profuse sweating, fast
heart rate. Some sites say that brain fog is a part of
die-off. I believe it is, but it’s very rare to get brain fog from die-off. Brain fog can
occur with die-off, but it’s a much more delayed reaction as a result. I’ll explain what I
mean in a minute by that. If you do get a classical typical die-off, it’s going too
often occur very quickly after you take a very powerful antifungal and I’m talking like
really quick. It could happen within hours. Certainly within 24 hours of taking that product.
It will happen very, very strongly. You’ll get a strong reaction. And you’ll have those
reactions that I just mentioned. Things like fevers, chills, muscle aches. If your nose
is itchy, that’s not die-off. If you fart or bloat, that’s not die-off. Please don’t
get confused with a lot of minor symptoms or fatigue, tiredness, a bit of headache.
That’s not die-off. I’ll explain why these occur and how to really clearly define the
difference between typical die-off reaction and generally what 99 percent of people experience
but call die-off. What people typically do that create problems
that they think is die-off, they change their lifestyle. They alter the dosage of their
supplements. They come in too high or too low with a supplement to start with. They
start with generally way too high. They take on new foods or they do too big of a change.
Hello? I’ve talked about this before in a video. You need to make change slowly. Please
watch that video about making change slowly because that is a key thing if you want to
avoid die-off, which it probably isn’t. If you want to avoid feeling like crap when you’re
going to start the Candida Crusher approach, you need to do things slowly to start with,
very slowly, then you won’t feel awful. Another key thing that people get is inflammation.
Inflammation can make you feel pretty crappy and that can often be misconstrued as die-off.
Let’s break these things down now, this list I just read out to you and explain to you
one by one the events that can lead to what you feel is die-off that actually isn’t really
classic die-off. And then later on, we’ll come in and explain to you a bit more about
some of the cases I’ve seen with real die-off and how serious they can be.
I get patients all the time on Skype now who say, “I suffered terrible die-off the other
day. I took this supplement and I felt very sick. I had a bowel problem after that. I
felt very spaced out. Surely, that’s got to be die-off.” When you start a supplement,
you must begin just to recap. You must see the video I’ve completed recently on going
slowly. Any kind of supplement you take; I like you to start it very slowly. There is
a whole lot of reasons why you can feel terrible after you take a supplement. But oftentimes,
the body will not be used to that supplement, particularly if it’s an antifungal/antibacterial
product like my Canxida Remove product. That’s quite a potent product. When you take that
one right away, lots of different reactions can occur in the body. It can kick the immune
system in the butt and upregulate it, make it a lot stronger. That’s one.
Two, it can have a very profound effect on liver function and kidney function. Both of
those functions, in turn, can make you feel hot, cold, weak, tired, sick, faint, they
can create lots of reactions in the body. Any time you have any kind of stimulatory
effect on a major organ, it can certainly change the way you feel. That’s not die-off.
When you start taking a supplement, it will often be also that you make changes on multiple
levels, i.e., the lifestyle change, the diet change. So when you’re making changes on three
or four different levels, of course, you’re going to feel different. You’re going to feel
entirely different. It’s quite natural to feel different. If you moved to a new country
and go on holiday, you’re probably going to eat different foods. You’re probably going
to sleep in a different bed. You’re probably going to talk to different people. You’re
probably going to do a whole bunch of stuff that’s different. The funny thing is, you’re
going to feel different. That’s because you’re doing different things. Please bear that mind.
Coming in too high with a dosage, too high for you, not necessarily for Paul or Peter
or Jane or Mary over there because every one’s dosage is going to be different. Every single
person will require a slightly different incoming dosage. And then over time, the person will
work out what the right dosage is for that kind of person. If you go shopping with 10
people, they’re not all going to buy a red shirt or a red dress. One will want a black
one. One will want a green one. Everyone will want something different. People have different
needs and suit different kinds of things. It’s the same with dosages. Even though a
supplement may suit a wide range of people, the dosage will certainly not.
I’ve got many patients who gain great benefit from taking a quarter of the Canxida Remove
I make per day. Quarter of a tablet and they feel fantastic on it with a good outcome.
I’ve got other people who take three to six per day. So you need to feel your way around.
If you’re a sensitive person, you start low. You take maybe a half a tablet per day if
you react to a lot of things. Don’t come in with three or six per day if you react. Of
course, you’re going to feel like crap. Don’t blame it on die-off. Don’t immediately blame
everything and say, “It’s die-off. It’s die-off.” It probably isn’t. It’s probably just because
you upregulated your liver. It’s probably just because you stimulated your immune system.
You may have even had a very powerful effect on your stomach or pancreas with that product
for many different reasons. And that, in turn, will affect the bowel, the small intestine,
the large intestine. It could have caused gas or bloating. You could have upset the
bacteria in your digestive system. You may not have sufficient beneficial bacteria. And
again, when you’re taking a strong antifungal product there, you’re going to get a lot of
reactions there as a result of that. A big thing that many people forget with “anti”
kind of products, particularly antifungals, is the liver. Because many of these supplements
like black walnut, berberine, clove, neem, they have a very powerful effect on a phase
two liver detoxification pathway. There are several pathways that get stirred up by these
herbs. This, in turn, can create a bottleneck of toxin. It can up or downregulate your liver
function. This may hold toxins back in the body and your immune system is going to go
to town on these toxins. Or it could increase or facilitate the release of these toxins
on the body. This, in turn, can make it tougher for the digestive system to handle these toxins,
especially if the bowels aren’t working well or it can make it tougher for the kidneys
to operate and that can cause a lot of fatigue and skin itching and many different things.
Check out my video I did on urinary problems and particularly the one on kidney function.
Best kept secret is getting the kidneys working well. Many people have kidney problems and
that can make you feel tired, wasted, sick, itchy skin, dry skin. You can feel like partially
hungover. That could be a kidney problem. It may have nothing to do with die-off at
all. You may not be simply drinking enough water with your detox.
Inflammation. Let’s talk about that one. With a typical Herxheimer reaction generally what
happens a drug like mercury killing a lot of things in the body. You’re much more prone
to getting a classic die-off if you’re going to take a drug like tetracycline or a very
powerful antibiotic. That’s because you’re killing huge amounts of beneficial bacteria
and not the friendly guys. You’re killing them. You’re just machine gunning them all
down. Wiping everything out. Way more potent than using an antifungal. Those drugs may
well put you into die-off. What happens is you kill off all the stuff, the immune system
has to start dealing with all that damage. The both beneficial damage as far as you’re
concerned and the collateral damage. A lot of these dying bacteria will release
chemicals themselves. The immune system will pick up on this. It will be on high alert.
It in turn will release chemicals called cytokines, particularly there is one called interleukin.
There is one called tumor necrosis factor. They’re the typical interleukins that go town
on these endotoxins, endo, they’re in internal, they’re inside. Toxins inside the body, so
interleukins six and eight attack these endotoxins and that’s what typically creates a lot of
awful feeling in the body. This is a typical die-off scenario and that reaction ramps up
very quickly after you take that antibiotic. Anaphylaxis like from penicillin, acute allergic
reaction, that is a typical immune reaction that can kill you. It can actually kill you.
Die-off won’t kill you, but it can make you feel like death warmed up. At least you feel
at near death and really sick and crappy to the point where you need to go to the ER and
you feel like you’re dying, you probably haven’t got die-off. Did you hear when I said “die-off”?
If you feel like dying, it’s probably die-off. Most people who contact me and think they’ve
got die-off don’t feel like dying. They just feel like crap, but they don’t actually feel
like near death. There’s a big difference between, so please don’t get die-off confused
with a reaction in the body. Introducing new foods into the body. Maybe
your body can’t cope with those new foods. Maybe you’ve reintroduced them too quick.
Maybe you’ve introduced new foods too quick. Maybe your digestive system can’t cope? Maybe
your enzymes in your gut haven’t got sufficient power to break those foods down, creating
bloating and gas. As I mentioned, coming in too high. Supplements, lifestyle events, all
the changes, inflammation, we spoke about that. I hope you’re getting a bit of a feel
for what I mean. These are typical things that underpin feeling awful but don’t constitute
die-off. We talked about the cytokine response. Now brain fog. So many people think that brain
fog is actually a result of die-off. I don’t believe it is. I believe brain fog is more
related to the beneficial bacteria or lack of. I believe there’s a big relationship with
the vagus nerve and the gut and the brain and it has got a lot more to do with a sympathetic/parasympathetic
imbalance. People with brain fog often have stress. People with brain fog in most all
cases when we do stool testing show really weird levels of beneficial bacteria. I don’t
commonly find brain fog in people with three, four plus beneficial bacteria in the stool
test. Don’t commonly find it. So I believe that in the future, research will validate
what I’m saying right now to you guys is that brain fog, in my opinion, is more related
to the beneficial bacteria than it is to die-off. That’s not to say that endotoxins can’t create
that feeling in the brain. Because when you’re hungover, you certainly got that brain foggy
kind of feeling from the liver and kidneys trying to clean the body out. But I believe
that in time research will validate that. That that foggy brain feeling and how
do I know that? I know that because in many cases when I’ve helped to restore the beneficial
bacteria in patients, the brain fog disappears. Sometimes within a week it’s gone. I’ve seen
that. I think that just about covers most of things
I wanted to talk about die-off. I hope it wasn’t too confusing this video. Again, just
to recap. Die-off is severe. It’s extreme. It can last anything up to about a week in
patients. It’s like a storm. It can come out of nowhere and it can disappear very rapidly.
That’s my experience with die-off. I’ve only ever seen true die-off probably about a dozen
times in all the years I’ve practiced, in the nearly 30 years. That’s not a lot of times,
but I have seen it and it’s been very severe. In most cases, it resulted in the patient
being hospitalized or going to the doctor feeling that they’re actually going to die.
There is a severe reaction and it did have the things like chills, fever, terrible skin
rashes, all of those things. That is true die-off.
Thanks for tuning in.
Greetings. Thanks for coming back. Eric Bakker,
naturopath from New Zealand, author of Candida Crusher and also the formulator of the Canxida
range of dietary supplements. Before you watch the video, please click on the link to download
your free report. Let’s have a look at the cause of Blastocystis infection. That’s what
I’m going to show you today. How you actually get this bug and the most likely scenarios.
I’ve got a few notes I’ve made here. A very common one is travel. I mentioned this
in a previous video. Have you been to an exotic destination? Have you been to India or Asia?
Have you been to the Pacific region to an island somewhere? Have you gone sailing? Have
you gone camping? Where have you gone because you may well have picked it up from someplace
away from where you live? International travelers quite commonly pick up blasto.
Close contact. So caring for people like a child, a relation, an elderly person, someone
who’s sick or unwell. This is a common scenario as well. You may be looking after people.
You could be in the health care profession. There are many different scenarios in terms
of close contact. Drinking water from contaminated sources.
This is a really key thing. Drinking water in a swimming pool that’s not really cleaned
properly. There could have been a bit of fecal matter in the pool and you could have picked
up a tiny little bit through that way. Because remember, fecal route is the most common way
of picking up, getting it on your hand or your eye or your skin, anywhere. And you only
need one tiny little parasite in your body. You’re not going to get this through blood.
This is not a blood borne infection. This is a water borne infection. Generally, it’s
transmitted through fecal matter that you’re exposed to. So you could’ve gone to a bathroom,
touched a surface, even in an airport, and not washed your hands, rubbing your eye, bang,
you’ve got the infection. You could’ve touched your mouth or your nose.
Generally, hands, so this is why hand washing is so important. You don’t have to be anal
about handwashing like some people are known to be. But I do a lot of travel. I fly quite
frequently and I always wash my hands every time I disembark from an aircraft. I wash
my hands. I go to the bathroom; I wash my hands. I wash my hands probably 10 times a
day. That’s not an obsessive compulsive thing. It’s just that I’m in the health care profession
and I don’t generally get sick. And I’m around a lot of sick people. So I understand that
handwashing is the best way to stop a lot of different diseases from getting into your
body. Viral infections, many different diseases, just wash your hands.
So drinking water, lakes, streams, poorly maintained wells, things like this, contaminated
water. When you travel, it’s very important to only drink bottled water where the bottle
has actually got a factory seal on it. Because some sneaky people sell water from rivers
or lakes where they’ll just quickly pop the cap on. It’s not a factory seal. If in doubt,
boil the water. Super saturated potassium iodide or potassium iodide drops in water
is another smart move. A little bit of liquid grapefruit seed extract, a couple of drops
in water will also stop a lot of diseases, if you’re going to different places.
Children in daycare settings. Children that swim a lot in swimming pools. Kids often pick
up blasto infections through this way. People who camp. People who hike. Backpackers. People
who drink water from suspect areas. Exposure to human fecal matter through sexual contact.
So you need to be very careful with intimacy. Again, hygiene. It’s all about hygiene, folks.
If you’re really clean and careful with yourself, you’ve got a lot less chance of picking up
a Blastocystis hominis infection. Stay tuned. There’s more to come. Thanks for
checking out my series on blasto.
Greetings. Eric Bakker, naturopath from New Zealand. Thanks for checking out my video today. Today we’re going to talk about five classic
mistakes that many naturopaths make when treating a person with a Candida problem. Notice how the title doesn’t say “doctors”. It says “naturopaths”. That’s because doctors don’t even recognize
a Candida problem, which is quite sad because there’s plenty of scientific literature validating
the work I’ve been doing now for a long, long time. Maybe one day. Let’s look at the five things. Not testing and making assumptions. My dad always used to say to me, “If you assume,
you make an ass out of you and me.” You’re assuming. Never make assumptions. If you’ve been sick for a long time, I highly
recommend comprehensive digestive stool analysis either through a Genova Diagnostics Lab or
Doctor’s Data Lab in Chicago, Illinois. Making assumption is a bad idea. I can absolutely say with 100 percent clarity
that over half the people I see who swear they’ve got Candida, in fact, they’ve got
no Candida at all. They may have a complete lack of beneficial
bacteria that couldn’t even be cultured in the stool test. They may have one or more parasites. They’re showing up in the parasitology screen. They may have multiple kinds of dysbiotic
flora, like Citrobacter freundii, like pseudomonas. There could be bad bacteria there in high
amounts. Very common for me to find people with a lack
of beneficial bacteria. Everything else in order, but they had no
growth of lactobacillus, bifida bacteria. If you can’t even culture beneficial bacteria
in a stool test, you’ve got a big problem on your hands. Many people in this realm often have fatigue,
anxiety, depression and they feel very bad. They’ve got sugar cravings. They feel really, really poorly in many ways
and they swear they’ve got Candida until they do the stool test. It’s a very smart idea to do a comprehensive
stool test if you’ve been sick for a while and you want to get to the bottom of your
problem. Anybody who throws a bunch of supplements
at you and then it doesn’t work and then you go to another practitioner and they do the
same thing, you need to start thinking about testing. It’s a very clever idea. Number two. Diet focused and not wellness centered. Too many naturopaths focus on diet, diet,
diet. I put this to lack of clinical experience
mainly. Coming up next year will be my 32nd year of
practice. Not many naturopaths make it to 30 years let
alone 20 years. A lot of them that I qualified with have long
quit their job and they’re doing other kinds of work. When you’ve seen the number of patients I
have over the years and completed 4,000 or more stool tests, you start to understand
a lot of patterns with people. You start to understand that it’s a lot more
than just diet that people need to get better. Many people need to address their lifestyle,
which I’ll talk a bit later on in point number five. There will be an obstacle. There will be something there that’s not quite
right and that needs changing. One thing you’ll read time and again in my
book, I wrote Einstein’s quote: “The definition of insanity, doing the same stuff all the
time and expecting a different outcome.” You may be eating the best food under the
sun and you’re still not getting better? What are you going to do? Eat better food? Change the kind of food you’re eating? You think that’s going to make any difference? You’re missing the point. Something else needs changing. You may need to see a practitioner who addresses
an obstacle you’re currently not looking at. Maybe you’ve got a pair of these on that need
changing. You need to look through different types of
glasses if you get my point. Number three. One trick ponies. One trick ponies, by that I mean, your practitioner
may just say, “I’m a Candida expert.” But every time a person comes to that practitioner,
everything will be assumed to be Candida without even testing. “What? You’ve got an itchy scalp? Must be a yeast infection.” Think about it. You’re tired. Must be a yeast infection. If everything is a nail to them with Candida,
then the only solution is going to be the hammer for that nail. You may need to go to someone with a lot more
clinical experience who doesn’t just see everything as a Candida problem. Number four. Poor choice of supplementation. Many people take the wrong kind of supplements. They take too many things or they don’t take
supplements that are appropriate to their needs. When I designed the CanXida formulas, they
were designed on thousands of stool tests on tens of thousands of patients and hundreds
of thousands of clinical hours of practice. I started to see the need for a product that
had a very broad spectrum action on parasites, bad bacteria, and on multiple species of yeasts. That’s where the CanXida got designed from,
from that particular profile. Many people who come to me take maybe oregano. They may take a bit of grapefruit seed extract. They may take something with undecylenic acid
in it. But the problem is, they’re not taking all
of those together in a formula that’s carefully balanced. When you take something that’s broad spectrum,
it’s going to have a much, much better effect. Particularly, when you take that in conjunction
with what I said with point two, becoming more wellness centered and not just diet focused. The very best supplements are only going to
work with the very best protocol that you apply specifically for your particular needs. Not for the practitioner pigeonholing you
into their own little piece of paper. Many practitioners will just give you a diet
sheet and say, “Here, follow this. These are the pills.” But they won’t drill things down. Number five. That’s what leads us onto this. Failure to uncover and work with the person’s
particular obstacle to cure. Many people have got what we call an “obstacle
to cure.” They’ll have a particular issue that’s preventing
them from getting the progress that they’re looking for. It’ll be a stumbling block and it’s right
in their path. It could very obvious to the practitioner,
but maybe it’s overlooked in favor of a diet and a bunch of pills. That obstacle could be often some type of
stress in a person’s life. It’ll be a weakness that the body exploits. I’ve got a nice quotation from a person that
I wrote in my Candida book: “Strength is not born from strength. Strength is born from weakness.” Be glad of your weaknesses because they’re
the beginning of your strength. Be glad that you’ve got something that makes
you weak, that the body’s exploiting. Because once you uncover that weakness and
make it strong, you’ll become a very strong person. The illness is there for a reason. It’s there, I believe, as a teacher to show
us different ways of living. And if we’re a good pupil and we understand
what we’ve been taught and we implement that, we can become very powerful and strong people. You get my point? I think I’ll leave you guys with that. Again, this video was not meant to bash or
to ridicule naturopaths at all. It’s just meant to show that when you get
a certain level of experience and you start treating people and you look at cases differently,
you’re going to get a lot different outcome than just giving people a bunch of pills and
a diet sheet. Thanks for tuning in.
Greetings. It’s naturopath Eric Bakker from
New Zealand. I’m the author of a book called Candida Crusher. You can see that at CandidaCrusher.com.
And I’m also the formulator of a range of products called Canxida. You can see those
at Canxida.com. Today, we’re going to talk about biotin. Is biotin any good for Candida?
This is a question that was asked by a lady called Andrea Hall from Perth, Australia.
Andrea, I’m going to talk about biotin today. What it is. If it’s any good for Candida.
It will be quite an interesting video for you to check out. And I’m sure there will
be viewers on YouTube with Candida or that just have an interest in biotin.
Biotin is kind of a B vitamin. It’s really a co-enzyme like a lot of B vitamins and some
people call it Vitamin B7. It’s required to help render fatty acids into energy. It’s
very important also to allow certain types of amino acids to function properly. And folate,
for example, functions really well when there’s sufficient biotin in the body. It’s a very
important stimulator of healthy cells in your body. It performs multiple functions and it’s
critical. One of the key roles in Candida when I did
a lot of research into biotin is that it helps to prevent the conversion or the change from
the cell form of Candida, the round form, into the more mycelial or hypha form like
the fine fungus like thread that Candida can convert to, and biotin actually will stop
that process. One thing I have to tell you at the beginning
of this video is that don’t eat raw eggs. Raw eggs, particularly the egg whites, contain
a protein called avidin, and avidin will actually bind to biotin and help to remove it out of
the body. So raw eggs are not good at all, if you’ve got Candida. And also, they’re hard
to digest. It’s much easier for the body to break down and render denatured proteins into
amino acids than if they are in their raw form, so lightly cook egg whites before you
eat them rather than to swallow them liquid or put them in blenders. It’s not a good idea
to eat raw eggs. Just slightly cooking them is a way better idea. That way, you’re not
really going to get the problem with the biotin deficiency.
Some people also have a biotinidase deficiency, a deficiency in the enzyme responsible for
utilizing biotin. And that coupled along with poor diets high in fake foods that people
eat today like white foods, soda drinks, ice cream, fries, MacDonald’s, that crappy food
like that. These foods are depleted in biotin and often will have a biotin deficient diet
along with high sugar and high stress. And then on top of that, they have antibiotics.
Well, this is really like a Russian roulette for Candida, isn’t it. You’re a sitting duck
for a yeast infection. Dr. Orion Truss wrote a very important book
called “The Missing Diagnosis” in 1983. I’ve just got some notes out of my Candida Crusher
book because I’ve written quite a bit about biotin there. Truss noticed that people who
had diets with sufficient biotin in them didn’t really have a seriously bad yeast infection,
and he recommended people eat things like brown rice, egg yolks (cooked), liver and
kidney and also organic soybeans. We didn’t have the G in genetically modified soybeans
back in those days, and soybeans were considered once a healthy food. Now, they’re considered
like toxic waste now by some people. Dr. Truss recognized 30 years ago that people were very
deficient in biotin and lacking in the typical SAD diet, standard American diet.
Here’s a picture I’m going to hold up to the screen. I wonder if you can see it. And you
can actually see here, if we have a careful look here, you can see the cell of Candida
here, and here you can see the mycelial form, the spore form, so that’s how Candida can
convert from this form to this form. When you have sufficient biotin in your diet, that’s
going to really be halted. That was a 400 times magnification there of Candida. You
can clearly see the two types of Candida there. Dr. Luc De Schepper wrote quite a good book
in 1974 called “Candida: The Symptoms, the Causes, and Cure,” and it’s well worth reading
by anyone with a serious yeast infection. Luke was a big believer in recommending biotin
to patients with yeast infections to stop the yeast infection from going crazy. Because
the hypha forms actually can form like little spears, penetrate parts of the body, and implant
more yeast in there, almost like little harpoons; whereas, the cell form can’t do that so much.
It’s easier for the body to destroy the cell form than the hypha form, so you don’t want
that conversion to take place. A Japanese doctor in 1974, Dr. Yamaguchi, noted that
when Candida was cultured in a biotin poor dish, it quickly changed to the invasive mycelial
form. And as soon as biotin was added, it would halt this progression.
How does biotin work to counter yeast infections? There are a couple of points here. Biotin
has the ability to halt Candida from turning into a hypha or mycelial form, which is a
lot harder to get rid of and potentially more serious. Dr. Luc De Schepper said to take
three milligrams per day if you’ve got a bad yeast infection because it halts that progression.
And I also mentioned the biotinidase deficiency. Some people have got a problem with biotinidase,
and they can’t recycle or reutilize biotin properly with this deficiency.
And the other thing that is a big problem today is, unfortunately, people have got an
issue with beneficial bacteria and they actually help to produce biotin in the gut. So people
with very good levels of beneficial bacteria like the lactobacillus species will have more
biotin in their bloodstream than people with a lower amount. And that’s why I always recommend
probiotics when you’ve got Candida. Check out my Canxida Restore. I’ve made sure to
put various types of lactobacillus in that product in a special capsule called Capsugel,
which is going to really allow these bugs to get into the small intestine where they
belong. The low carbohydrate biotin self-test. A good
friend of mine, Dr. James Wilson from Arizona, the world expert in adrenal fatigue said to
me, “Eric, I’ve got the best test for determining biotin insufficiency in people.” Does that
sound like an Arizona accent or what? Dr. Wilson said to me, “Strictly avoid carbohydrates
and take 3,000 mcg or 3 mg per day of biotin for three days and see if any of your yeast
infection symptoms improve. If symptoms improve, especially dramatically, you’re probably suffering
from a mycelial Candida overgrowth in your intestines.”
I’m going to make a really top quality Candida multivitamin. It’s on the drawing board. It’s
going to be Canxida Rebuild. It’s going to be a superb product. It’ll be in development,
which I’ve been working on now for the last six months, but it’s going to contain plenty
of biotin in it to stop that conversion. I hope that gives you some explanation there,
Andrea, on what biotin is and its importance when it comes to Candida yeast infections
and to stop the progression of serious yeast infections.
